I just has my tonsils and adenoids removed on August 1st, 2017.  Today is technically day 8, but at a 11 am today (August 9th) if is day 9 post op. My scabs just came off I believe starting at 5 AM. I jumped up and slammed a shot of Oxycodone and after extreme sharp pain i fell back asleep.  Around 9 AM the second scab, my right side I believe just came off. The pain was excruciating.  However, on the bright side or only lasted for a few minutes.  This has by far been the most painful surgery I've ever had and I just had gender reassignment surgery done on July 6th.  Yes,  you read that right. More painful than that.  By a long shot.  Days 1 & 2 were easy because the pain was subsidized from the morphine and Oxycodone.  Day 3, 5, 7 and so far 8 have been the worst. I am hoping day 9 is the end of the excruciating pain and I can finally move on with my life.  For anyone reading this. It does get better. It does end. I feel like a warrior coning to the end of this.  Somewhat like I have an advantage on life because I'm overcoming the pain haha. I think I will be so happy when this is all over with...
