My wife had a complete hysterectomy a little over a year ago. Since that time I have noticed that during sex there is occasionally some whitish "discharge" - although I do not mean to use that term in it's negative connotation. There is no smell or anything unpleasant about it, other than it appears to accumulate in "lumps" during sex, not unlike it used to be at certain times during her cycle. It can be creamy, or of a cottage-cheese consistency.
I am very sensitive to yeast infections both by smell and sensation - I'm reasonably certain that this is not a yeast infection.
I'm wondering what this is, is it an indication of some issue, and is it possibly a result of not having the typical menstrual discharge cycles? I'm not even sure how to talk to her about it, so I'm looking for some advice as to what it might be before I bring it up.

Hi honey! You and your wife HAVE to be aware that a LOT of yeast infections go undetected - they aren't the classic terrible smell and itchiness! They can just be there - because women are FILLED with Clymedia! Also use a condom - as you can actually give it back to her when you don't use protection - some doctors don't believe in this theory, but to myself and others it just makes sense doens't it? So just mention to her in passing something like this "Did you know honey I was reading that women who have had hysterectomys have an increase in Yeast infecitons - do you feel rund down? I noticed the other day that you seem to be starting a yeast infection" If you can't be open with your wife about sexual things honey! Then you have to start! She could also have vaginits! as this is constant yeast infections! Good luck and health!

I got a discharge during menopause post hysterectomy! How can there be a discharge when there are no more reproductive organs? Where does it originate and why?
