This has happened to me multiple times. Once I got up and stretched and completely blacked out for a couple seconds . When I woke up I was on top of my brother.

Wow, ive been a little worried something was wrong with me. But I agree with whoever said you need to exercise and do stretches more, after warming up. Over time your muscles will be good and stretched to where the passing out and stuff, will subside.

Wow. I have been suffering from this for years and never found anyone who had it before, but some of the effects this dizziness causes sound exactly like I experience.

Dizziness from standing up or stretching sometimes more severe than others. It comes with a shaking sensation in the arms, weird hearing, odd vision, thumping head, slight disorientation and a feeling you are going to fall over, but the shaking sensation makes it hard to find something to stable myself with.

It doesn't last long but can be quite a scary experience.

I deal with this (Vasovagal Syncope *also known as Neurocardiogenic Syncope*) and Orthostatic Hypotension. I have to have plenty of salt, Gatorade/Powerade, and water to keep an episode at bay. I also take Thermotab Salt tablets (2 a day as prescribed by my heart doctor as she also manages my other heart conditions). Hope this helps...

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome aka "P.O.T.S" - a form of dysautonomia and is being found more and more in young people- especially females. Ages affected are teens to near age 40. Se a cardiologist that specializes in the autonomic system. I was diagnosed at age 35 via a tilt table test done by a cardiophysiologist. I also had to wear a heart monitor for a week which showed I kept tachycardia upon standing and even sometimes at rest. Upon standing, blood pools in the legs and the blood pressure drops. The heart has to pump harder and faster to pull blood into the brain. When not enough blood can be brought to the brain, the BP drops even lower and you pass out. Google Dysautonomia International.

I know this was over a year ago but by chance, what were your other symptoms? I’ve been suffering from general spacy-ness all the time and it has been effecting my concentration and working memory substantially. It really has effected me a lot within the past year.. thank you.

this happened to me once this year. it was in the morning and i believe i hadn't eaten much the previous day. i was in the bathroom, stretching really tall with my hands up, and i felt really dizzy for a second and my mind blanked out. i couldn't think of anything in particular. then there was a short gap in my memory where i fell on the floor. my head felt sort of tingly during it, then afterward i had a headache. it hasn't happened since because every time i feel it, which isn't really often but alwayd when i'm stretching in the morning, i stop and go to kneeling for a second.

Hi, I'm curious as to what the doctor told you about a heart condition? My daughter has been experiencing this issue for 3 years now(she's13) and it seems to be getting worse as she's experiencing more head pain when it happens. She's had and EEG and it's came back clear. I've mentioned to her doctor about a possible underlying heart condition because about the time this started happening she was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma and I don't believe that is the problem. I've pushed to have a stress test done and they won't do it because they say she's too young. I'm trying to get as much or any information on this.
Thank you,
Melissa
