I have to admit that I have never thought my daughter would have problem like this. I mean, both me and my husband have extra weight (nothing much, between 5 to 10 kilos) but it looks like our teenage child has completely different problem. She is obsessed with her weight and she even asked me for some laxatives. I am afraid that she might het a hold of some meds like antidepressants or something even worse. Do bulimic patients tend to use those drugs?

If they are not satisfied with their look, especially weight, they could subdue to depression, although it is not that common in such a young age. Still, you have to be on alert and see what is really going on. You should talk to her and ask her if she has already taken some actions because of her weight. You have to explain her that there are many healthier ways for eliminating the extra kilos.
