I'm 14 and I'm aware I have almost all the symptoms. I asked my mum about taking me to a GP, but she refused and said I was bored and lazy. A lot of my friends think I have ADHD and so do, and I feel my inattentiveness is affecting my school-work, I also feel like I can't communicate as well as I want because I'm thinking to fast. Please, I'm quite worried and would really appreciate advice.

Hi.
It's unfortunate your mom does not want to take you to see your doctor.
You could ask her again and try to discuss it with her.the most important thing is to stay calm and explain to her how you feel.
With covid not sure If your still in school but if you are it would be worth talking to your school counselor your school should have a good idea if there any concerns based on input from your teachers.
If the counselor feels it is needed they could also talk to your mom.
You could also try some things like not drinking pop or any drinks high in sugar things like energy drinks can really cause issues and should never be tried.
Hopefully your not doing any drugs or drinking alcohol but if you are stopping them would be worth doing.
If you do a few changes and eliminate the things that good influence your behaviors it might help you to stay focused and reduce the ADHD symptoms if it does not change anything then you can tell your mom what you have tried to do and that your still having the same problems.
Hopefully after a couple weeks of doing these changes things improve but if not it may help your mom to decide to take you to see your doctor.
