Do you ever feel guilty in the final days before a marathon that you need to keep on running??

Due to work commitments I will probably skip my final taper run of 4 miles tomorrow. Part of me feels guilty about skipping the run!!! Normally I only take 1 day of no running before a long race.

Has anyone else encountered this??

No. I actually enjoy the taper. You can only do to much during the last week. The best thing to do is relax as much as you can and if you skip a short workout, no big.

If I have trained hard and well, I will usually look forward to the taper.
