I was wondering if someone could help me make a decision......when i was a born my doctor almost dropped me, caught me by my right arm amd broke my collarbone. As i got older my left arm started to grow longer than right and eventually my right arm became limp. A few years back a doctor told me i could get it fixed but i was to scared and declined. After a few years i noticed that there where a limited amount of things i was able to do. After thinking about it for a few months i want to get it fixed and then i don't. i don't want to have a shorter arm for the rest of my life. should i get the surgery or not.....PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Well if this prevents you from doing everyday activities you should get the surgery. Try to be as informed as possible about the operation, including its goals and risks. The surgeon will explain these to you. I found that fracture healing may take up to four months. Recovery time is dependent upon the healing potential of the patient and the severity of the fracture. Good luck. :-)
