My friend just used too much vicks inhaler. When she used the inhaler, she was not sick and used it for a couple days. Now, she has nasal congestion, a runny nose and coughing. She has no fever, though. Is this normal? I tried checking the vicks website and there is no note of possible side-effects.

As far as I know, there is not an issue with using too much Vicks but it sounds to me like your friend could be using it too often. Can you keep me posted on how she's doing? It sounds like she may have hurt herself. Take her to a doctor about it.

Yeah. Using it too often can irritate your nasal cavities, as far as I know. Could nasal cavity irritations lead to dry throat, coughing, congestion and sneezing?
