Hello. Soon I'm going to become a young mother and I'm looking forward to it. But I would like to hear some advices on one mater.
You see, I had my ultrasound yesterday, and I though that my gynecologist said that the baby looks good but at the end of the scan, he said that the measurement of the kidneys is larger than it should be.
He didn’t sound so worried but I definitely am! I'm sure that he said that there are no cysts on his kidney. What could be the cause then.
I'm very worried and I'm desperate for advice. Does anyone have any information on this?

Well, I have heard al lot about this because my wife and I have four kids. Like you have said, you probably know that the most frequent cause of enlarged kidneys is cyst.
If he has said that there are no cysts on the kidneys and if he didn’t sound worried-then it could be only one right cause- condition called Prenatal Bilateral Hydronephrosis.
It is caused by a blockage of urine which usually resolves itself before birth so you really have no reasons to be worried.
Wait for your next scan and you will see that all symptoms of enlargement are gone.
Wish you luck!
