Hi, I am 15, I have recently discovered an abnormality in my scrotum. There is 2 lumps, one is larger than the other (about the size of a pea - slightly bigger) this does that cause any discomfort. The smaller one is about a third of the size, this however when pinched slightly causes pain. They both move around in the scrotum. I can feel them, but when I press the testicle against the skin, they don't show up. Is this an epididymal cyst. What is the appropriate action.

Well, I don’t believe it’s a spermatocele (epididymal cyst). Epididymal cyst could be noticed as an extra lump or mass above the testicle on one side of your scrotum, or a general enlargement of your scrotum. Symptoms are (if any) pain, swelling, or redness of the scrotum or a feeling of pressure at the base of the penis.
Generally, spermatoceles are not usually dangerous and are treated only when they cause pain or embarrassment or when they decrease the blood supply to the penis, which is pretty rare. If it gets larger, a spermatocelectomy may be needed (surgical removal).
Anyway, I think it’s just an ingrown hair or sebaceous prominence ... Even spermatoceles is not a big issue, although it looks disturbing.
When did you notice these lumps? Do you feel pain when you press them?
Let us know ...

I noticed it recently - a few days ago. It does cause a bit of pain when pressed, the smaller one does anyway.

Anymore ideas of what it may be?

yeh i got a great idea. It is... go see your local doctor XD
if its painful he can put you on antibitics in which may help with the pain and correct this problem, IF it is an INFECTION.

I've been to Dr. with this. Had a scrotal ultrasound. This is not an infection. It's the tube carrying the sperm. Have to go back in 3 mths. If it isn't gone, will have to have it removed.
What are the dangers of surgical removal of scrotum cyst?
What are the costs?
Thanks.
