I am 33 and I have recently been diagnosed with eczema. Apparently it is not really bad as the Dr. said, but it is pretty bad to me. I have dry patches on my arms and spots on my back. There are spots on the back of my neck and between my breasts too. Sometimes it itches but not all the time and not bad and sometimes I get these little bumps too. The Dr. said all this is normal and may get worse as the winter progresses. He gave me steroid cream to treat eczema. Is this effective?

My doctor gave me a steroid cream for eczema to make redness goes away. The problem was I can't get anymore of that unless I go back to the see the doctor and I can't really afford to keep going to him and then pay for the prescription too. I want to get the dryness under control too and the steroid cream had no effect on that. The doctor mentioned that I should use a fragrance free lotion like Lubriderm and that I should use a soap free body wash. I have done all that with little change. I found this atopalm mle cream. I have heard of using pure coco butter and mineral oil is good for eczema and someone told me about something called eucerin lotion.
