I have extended skin grown on my vulva walls - extra layers of skin coming out detached from my the rest of my body - only attached to the vulva . it's ugly and I'd like to know if they're normal? can they be removed? they just hang there.

Hi hon: The vulva is the entire area, what you are describing is the Labia Majora!!! Some women and men considered it normal, beautiful and ugly. It is a part of our bodies. Our labia are the same as a mans teste sac!

In this day and age there are SO many people wanting to look like the "ultimate" woman. And they see graphic photos, films etc, and all of a sudden they look at theirs and think "there's something wrong with me" and there isn't. It's just you. None of our genitalia are very attractive, but they do serve a purpose! That's why we invented underpants!!!!! ;-) XD So we don't have too look at each others everyday!!

IF it every becomes totally overwhelming for you, their is a procedure calle a labioplasty, but that is not covered by insurance and there can be complications. I hope I don't sound flip, but just take your body for what it is! You are a woman, with woman parts, and between you and your partner, there isn't going to be anyone else seeing them. They should be thanked for being healthy and there, because there yours!!! I hope this answers your question, and makes you feel a little better about being "normal" Good luck hon1
