I've had something that feels like a golf ball in my throat, when I'm sick sometimes I get globs of mucus in my throat, but this feels different than that, I've had it for roughly 2 days and I'm getting worried, I brought it up to my parents just acknowledged it, I'm 13 by the way, I'm scared and I don't want to have my parents pay a ton for medicine and possibly a surgery, so does anybody have any fresh information about it? I really hope it's temporary, I'm going to wait a week to have a conversation with my parents, and if it doesn't go away..... Well, I don't know. I haven't been smoking and I haven't had any serious medical thing happen to me lately, but I am stressed that it might be permanent

Hi I'm also 13 and I feel like there's a lump in my throat and it's worse after I have just eaten but even when I haven't just eaten it's still there I'm really nervous about it and it's horable when I lie down when I drink water it's good then about 2 seconds later it comes back again

Hi all to reading this...kind of read the majority of the post. I had the same thing 2 years ago. Had to have my thyroid removed. go see a Endocrinologist. don't let anyone else test you. I also had a growth on a parathyroid. Good luck and good health...

Stringy11469 I would have your doctor check your thyroid. I am going through the same thing and found out I have hypothyroidism. Your thyroid can swell and make it feel like you have food caught or a lump in your throat. Good luck.
