I've had my tonsillectomy about 9 days ago, I'm still in a lot of pain(taking pain killers help during the day, the most painful is waking up in the morning) and I HATE depending on painkillers or taking them for so long.
Anyone else feel like they're swallowing a tennis ball or something every time they swallow? Is this normal?

Today's is my 6th day after surgery (tonsillectomy) and yes, I do feel like there's a large marble in my throat and I can't wash it down with anything. It's making me gag and every time I gag, my throat starts hurting so I try not to. I have no idea what it is but I'll have to call my doctor if it gets any bigger/worse. Did you ever found out what it is? At least I know someone else's is having the same problem as I am, which means there's nothing wrong with me (whew). Once I find out what it is, I'll post it on here.
