for a bout 2 months i have a problem wenn sleeping my ears filled with fluid in my ears .my ears wher itchy and the skin was raw and the skin became flaky .my doctor gave me a disciptuen for some drops the costed me$ 50.-and dith not help.i put cortate cream 0.5% bevor bedtime on the inner ear and a half of a small cotton in to my ear befor going to sleep .the skin cleared up and is no longer itchy .i hope this will help you

I have this issue...esp right after I drink water, I begin to feel a warm liquid run from my ear. I used a q-tip to collect the fluid and I notice that it's clear like water.

I am 37 I have had 8 ear surgery's having tubes in and out first at two years and last one four years ago!! But the past month my ear hurt and clogs crusty and smells sometime clear and sometimes it has a little red or cream color

I too have had it off and on for over 6 years, with all the same symptoms mentioned above. Doctors could do nothing for me. I finally went to an acupuncturist that a friend with skin allergies, recommended. According to her its inflammation causing it, and all goes back to the liver not functioning properly. She said the liver needs to rest, American diets put to much stress on the liver and then It doesn't function properly. I had to eliminate all meat, (especially chicken) (including nuts) , fats, dairy, and sugars from my diet. Kinda extreme. ( I could have eggs, and fish, and olive oil, grains, fruit and vegetables, 1 cup of coffee). she gave me tablets that helped clean the liver. It totally worked!! The drainage, crust, and itching goes completely away! When I stop doing diet and pills it does slowly come back. So frustrating! So I've been on and off this way of eating and taking those Chinese herbal pills for three years. It's the only thing that has helped. For 10 years I would occationally wake up with a coupke drops of water in my esrs. It would drive me nuts. I went to a couple of ENT's to find out what was going on and all tjey would say is nothing to worry about just stop using q-tips on your ears. Finally I went to one who knew how to cure it. He said go to the drug store and buy some 1% hydrocortisone cream and using a q-tip apply some in my ear canal at night. IT WORKS !!!! After doing it for a week it cleared up. Now when it returns I just do it one night and its cured for weeks. Its also called anti itch creme. Hope this helps.

yes I thought it might be because of milk or sugar.... but I am sitting right now and it has started happening just out of the blue... like the others here as soon ask I clean my ears the clear liquid starts to run... think it might be sinus ..the little tube might be blocked that takes it to our throat and then our belly?... lol.. all self diagnosed of course!!...

Using a needle sounds terribly dangerous!! How about an earwax candle? It's safe and soothing. Warms the ear and drains it. For your case, you could do it every night or every other night.

I have the exact same problem. I mentioned it to a doctor once and he told me that my ears are too clean and that they needed to naturally have some wax in them. That being said, I clean my ears way too much due to itching and thinking I have wax and he told me that the best thing I can do is to put a little bit of olive oil to relieve the itching and it actually seems to help. I have the same thing, it seems to get worse when I'm stuffed up. My dr told me that it justo do with your nasal passages and gave me nasal spray, which sorta helped, I actually have bad alergies and we have something called Vog (basically sediments in the air from the volcano, I live on (Big Island )Hawaii Island, and that seems to make everyone's allergies go crazy). When my allergies act up it's like busckets in the morning, when they aren't i don't seem to notice it a much. For that reason I think my dr might be right about it being connected to my sinuses. He also showed me one of those medical charts that looks like the tool of the out side of someone's face so that they could see inside... makes sense.

I have really bad allergies and sinus. My doctor left holes left by tubes in my ears so they can drain. When my sinuses are block then they drain through my ears. Usually I have repeated sinus infections and yellow fluid drains out of my ears. When I got the steroid injections for sciatica it cleared my ears for a month bcse globs of yellow fluid came out. It's not ear infections bcse my ears never hurt. My sinus Dr keeps telling me to goto the ear Dr but 2x he has told me it's not my ears and another ear Dr has said the same.
