HI All,
I have been having the same sensation of "Fluttering or missing heart beat" to the left side of my chest. A few years ago my Dr. put a heart monitor on me to see whether it was my heart but everything was fine. Since then it comes and goes but it is very annoying to say the least. I have also found out from other internet sites that if the body is lacking magnesium you could experience panic attacks or irregular heart beats. Apparently once the magesium is taken the fluttering is gone. I however have not tried it only because I would like to discuss it with my Dr. before taking it. I would also recommend that you do the same thing if you decide to try the magnesium. I have also heard that the fluttering is due to stress. I would like to reiterate that it is important to discuss the magnesium with your Dr. before taking it.

I have been experiencing the same weird fluttering just under my left diaphragm. It certainly doesn't hurt and it never happens when I go to bed. It feels strange and I thought it might be my heart but it turns out my heart is in good shape. I am a runner and I have never had this before.

I have fluttering/twitching as well. It's happening on my left side, near the very bottom rib. I can just be sitting there, and out of nowhere I will start twitching near the very bottom rib. I don't know if it's a muscle or my stomach or what, but what I do know is that if I press between the very bottom rib and the one above it with my fingers, I can definitely feel the twitching with my fingers! I just want to know what might be causing this.
