I had my gallbladder revmoved a little over amonth ago and I have now started hurting on my right side . This pains comes so sharp that it stops me from what ever I maybe doing and clinch up. I went to Dr.and they refered me to emergency room to have a CAT scan taken. The finding was I had fat tissue around my colon. I was not given any medicine to make this make any better but given pain med. Does the fat tissue ever go away will I always be in this kind of pain it is very unconfortable and embarrassing.

Hi, I am not sure about the fat tissue but I hope you are fine. You can lead a perfectly normal life without a gallbladder. I also suggest making changes to your diet after gallbladder surgery.

I'm having same pain after having my gallbladder removed in August. I am going CRAZY!! Been to doctor a couple of times, had xrays, two sonograms, two mri's and an endoscopy done and nothing detected. Today I'm seeing another doctor to have an endoscopic ultrasound. Why is so many have same complaint and no one has answers???? Suffering.....

I'm also in pain after gallbladder removed in August. I get sharp stabbing pain in middle of back and radiates along right side into my chest/breast. It sometimes feel like something is being twisted inside of me. Its very painful and spasm like. Pain is identical to the pain I experienced before having the gallbladder removed. I've seen my primary doc twice. I've had xrays, 2 sonograms, 2 mri and an endoscopy and suffering in pain. Nothing found/nothing detected. Seeing a specialist today for consultation and maybe an endospic sonogram. I take Vicodin for the pain, but can't take it when I'm at work. I'm lost, confused and in PAIN.
