I'm so glad I found this post and realised I too am not crazy , I also get this electricity feeling in my head , makes me feel quite disoriented. It effects my head and my eyes and leaves me feeling very unsafe whilst driving , luckily it's only a matter of seconds normally . The other night I had what I can only describe as unusual in that it sounded like the initial second when u strike a match and then a bolt of electric that woke me from my sleep , since then the zaps seem to be coming more often ,even as I'm trying to concentrate to write this . I also suffer from anxiety and depression and taking cymbalta for quite some time now , I have had similar feelings before if I have lapsed on medication but this is not the case lately as I've been super careful about it , so as u do I decided to google it and here I am , I was planning to go and see my doctor about it as I generally feel out of sorts with it , but from what I have read not many people have got a solution ?. Maybe I'll reply if I get any further news , till then ill plod on

I've read through every one of these posts and have done quite a bit of research. I have also spoken with multiple Physicians, Surgeons, and Researchers (I am involved in medicine as a profession). Here is what I believe: * You may have missed some doses of medication or recently stopped taking medication. Many people seem to be experiencing symptoms of Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome * You might be experiencing sinus symptoms. Sinus pressure can cause strange sensations in the head, face, ears and possibly body. * You may be experiencing symptoms of malnutrition. Drink more water, take some vitamins, get more exercise. Water is very important. You can put a little salt (just a pinch) in the water but try to avoid anything with sugar or caffeine. * You may be experiencing withdrawal from an illicit substance. MDMA, MDA, and other such drugs affect serotonin. This, I theorize, is similar to other serotonin related withdrawal symptoms noted above. * You may be experiencing a type of migraine or a type of seizure, although this is rare. You should NOT diagnose yourself. * Sleep apnea may be an issue. Consult a doctor if you are experiencing trouble sleeping, waking in a start, waking gasping for breath, or other such symptoms. * Hypnogogic reaction - when your body tries to fall asleep sometimes people experiencing a jolting and tingling effect. This cant hurt you and there may be ways to remediate the feelings, although I am not familiar with them. Do some googling or speak with your physician. Finally, a couple of thoughts: * If you believe that space ships, directed energy weapons, the government, or others are purposefully targeting you, please seek help from a physician you trust. * Spirituality is a good thing for many people. Trying to balance your "chakras" or whatever spiritual system you believe in is probably useful. Although it shouldn't be considered a panacea - seek alternative opinions as much as possible. Good Luck!

Have you been tested for neurofibromatosis? That can cause the growth of numerous tumors throughout the body.

Goggle parasitic infestation or morgellions desease. They both have the static in head symptoms and they both carry toxins. An overload of toxins will make you week. Good luck and detox

Hey, l have had the same problem as you describe, even scarier. My vision goes either black or yellow like everything l saw turnes yellow like a filter. My hearing goes, loud buzzing in head and that strange rocking sensation. I've blanked so bad standing there and during the attack, l have the sensation my knees are buckling and l fall to the floor. Only after a few seconds my hearing slowly comes back, my vision slowly clears and my feeling comes back and l see that l'm still standing there, thankfully. Or the times it happens when l'm driving. When it is coming on l say to my hands to stay where they are on the wheel. There is no medical treatment but it's not a tumor. Well, I've had this for 30 years and have seen many doctors, had all the tests done and there is nothing they can find. It just happened again earlier but l've gotten used to them. I just ride it out till it passes.

It is an anxiety symptom. I. Have it also. Like a fly in an airplane going in circles around ur brain. It is normal but highly recommend rest and relaxation to relieve symptoms and consider talking to dr about stress/anxiety. This is most common cause. I doubt u have a tumor. Relax♡

I have same thing so bad now I can barely get 2 hrs sleep a day in and off!! I am afraid it will kill me eventually. At the fall asleep point I sometimes slip into what feels like a seizure. I haven't sought medical attention yet an d after reading your post I am afraid of what doctor will say. I vwas thinking sleep lab to prove I am not crazy and having sleep seizures.... lemme know if you get a real diagnosis...the sleep deprivation alone will put us into early grave. Take care.

What's up with all of you being so brainwashed and not seeing that drugs have nothing to do with this?!

I do not take drugs I am too young for one thing, as I have no physical problems YET (I'm 30 and have never given birth), so can I be experiencing this after right after I became faithful towards God

I find this interesting that you say you hear a sound at times like that. I personally don't hear a sound. But at a moment when I realise something profound, i have a strange feeling wash over me. An example of a time I felt this is when I was young and pondering the nature of time. I'm guessing your experiencing the same thing, but your brain interprates it differently and you hear a sound?

I get optic migraines. That's what they call the vision disturbance. I don't get the headache. I get the buzzing in my head though especially when I forget my Ssr. Now I get the buzzing off and on. Never had this until I started the medication.

I have been diagnosed with Meniere's Disease (started 3 months ago) and recently this buzzing feeling started behind my eyes. Without knowing what to google, I'm shocked to have come across a discussion so specific to mine.
