Getting pregnant after Mirena IUD is removed

i had the mirena for about a year. i had it removed about 3 years ago not because i was ready to get pregnant but because i bleed three weeks out of the month and everytime my husband and i had intercourse. now that we are ready to have a baby we cant i brug it up to my obgyn she said its normal what do i do

I removed my IUD in Jan of this year after having it in for 3 yrs because I'm trying to have a baby by a man I've been with for 12 yrs off an on. I have 3 kids by my ex so now I'm ready for another an we been having sex during fertility weeks an I've been having regular periods but no positive tests yet. Can I still get pregnant? Or did the IUD mess me up?

HI! I was wounding if anybody experience any problems trying to conceive after getting the mirena taking out. I had the mirena in for 4 years and got it taking out on october 17, 2012. and I bled for a couple days like I would when I have a period, but I haven't received no period at all for the past two months and did a pregnancy test a home and a blood test and both came out negative and I'am confused because I don't receive a period and have a hard time trying to get pregnant. I have know clue when I'm ovulating or even if I'am ovulating can anybody help or let me know if they know what is going on. 

hello! to the Ladies who replied, have any of you become pregnant YET?? I had the Mirena removed about 2 years ago, due to discomfort...my boyfriend and I have been trying to have a baby since last year but so far nothing :-/ actually the past few months I have been gaining a lot of weight, my breasts have been tender, I have taken a pregnancy test but it came back NEGATIVE, and the way i am feeling is the exact same feeling i had when i became pregnant with my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, also my nipples are leaking every now and than which is what happened on all 3 of my pregnancies :O also feel uncomfortable when making love to my boyfriend...i don't know, it's weird i SAY !! and i have been lightly spotting i know it isn't my period because the bleeding is so light and it goes away, last month i was getting sick a lot, my boyfriend was thinking that was morning sickness i was going thru but he was there when i took the test...hmm, i think i am going to give it another few wks than do another test and try and see if i can see a doctor at a walk-in just hope my results will be ok! i will be back here again later :) 

I have heard so many things negative about mirena and I am also scared that maybe it made it impossible for me.. ive never been normal when it came to my period i have spent so many months crying because im scared that mirena may have made it impossible for me to get pregnant im trying to just take it day by day but my fiance and i are really wanting a child any advice

 

I had mirena removed may of 2012 and my doctor said it could take up to 6 months to get pregnant nothing yet, im worried also that mirena may have made it impossible for to have any more kids and that is my worst fear... After seeing all the commercials about the mirena being recalled I cant wrap my head around anything.. ive takin tests everytime im late and so far I haven't gotten any good news.. I heard that takin prenatal vitamins helps a lot .. and when it comes to ovulating first response ovulation kit is the way to go it will really help you out...

I had my mirena removed Sept 6  after having it for 2 1/2 years, got my period Sept 9 that lasted for about 8 days. It is now February and still no period since then but I keep getting negative results. My fiance and I are really trying to have another baby and I hope I am pregnant. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what were your results?

I'm having the same promblem it's been 9 months since i had my mirena taken out due to me not having a (.) and i think thats part of being a woman you have to have a normal (.) to clean yur body out b ut anyways i got it one time after that i didnt get one so i spoke to my Dr. and he prescribed hormon pills i started 6 days after taking the pills and i started again for the next 2 months but after that i havent had a (.) again and i've takin a PG test and its neg. its really sucks that we all have to go thru this im going to see my dr. again but until April '13 ...btw has any1 gotten pregnant thats has been having problems? if not gud luck to all expect the worst hope for the best!!!

I had my mirena for almost 2 years! I removed it myself January 10 2013, because #1 I wanted another baby and #2 I never knew the  mirena didn't prevent pregnancy it only prevents implantation. For me it made me feel like I was giving myself an abortion every month!

I started my period February 9th...was on chart to ovulate February 19-24 with the 23rd being the prime day...I tested March 9 th and as of now i am pregnant! The only issue I have had is my ovaries feel like they are under attack which a possibility is cysts which is very common with Mirena!

I have 2 kids 2 years apart pretty fertile I thought then 5 years later I tried to have another one and it took 2 years to the point I was obsessed with it. We moved and I switched my focus from baby to packing and 2 weeks after we moved I was pregnant. I just had my mirena removed and my doctor told me be careful I'm extra fertile right now. Just relax and stop putting so much pressure on baby making that's when it will happen mirena or not

I want to ask should it take long to become pregnant after the removal of the mirena coil? I have bled every 2 weeks since having it inserted 4 years ago.
