In March my OB/GYN confirmed that I had a Bartholin Gland cyst. At the time she advised that as I was not experiencing any pain, we should simply watch it for growth and/or infection; with the hope that it would decrease on it's own by reabsorption of the fluids. She told me that sitting in warm baths would help. I was also advised that there was no reason for me to not continue to be sexually active with my husband as I was not experiencing any pain.
I did this but the cyst did not go away. I have not experienced any pain, discomfort or discharge. However, my husband and I would like to get pregnant.
I re-visited my doctor this month to check in on the cyst and find out my options with getting pregnant. She said we would have to remove the cyst. I sought a second opinion and was told that before I get pregnant I should remove the cyst because it could become painful during the pregnancy.
My questions are:
Does the cyst make it more difficult to get pregnant?
Does pregnancy increase the likelihood of the cyst becoming infected?
Can the cyst hurt my baby?
Should I remove the cyst if I am not experiencing any symptom (with the exception of some growth)?
Should I wait and see if it becomes a problem before I remove it?
Thanks,

I was on the shot and i had my period for 2 and a half months straight. It's probably just the birth control. Eat healthy and exercise. Your body will be back to normal in no time.
