My best friend is 11 weeks, 2 days pregnant and just found out she has a 7 inch cyst! She has had one miscarriage within the past 6 months. She is in constant pain. At her last doctor appointment (where they found out about her cyst 2 days ago) they told her they did not want to remove the cyst because they did not want to cause a miscarriage. I have no medical background and I have no knowledge about pregnancies, so I just need to know the best/worst possible complications and outcomes of the baby and my best friend. Any info is deeply appreciated!

Hi Robin,
I don't know what may happen to her or her baby BUT one thing I can say is that she will be well monitored throughout all of this. She may have an easier chance of miscarriage (idk) and if I were her I would not be lifting anything at all, nothing heavy. She should be taking it easy especially in the first trimester which is the more 'delicate' stage.
As her belly grows they will have to keep measuring the cyst and making sure it won't rupture or that it will rupture where she is monitored, in the hospital.
If she has anything cramping or bleeding make sure she goes to the ER immediately.
Hope this helps and good for her to have such a caring friend in you!
