Washing daily is enough to keep me odor free, since I stopped wearing jockey shorts and went to boxers. I have always had trouble getting the last few drops of urine out, and when that mixes with sweat . . . The days I don't shower (I have dry skin on my legs in winter) I retract my foreskin all the way at the lavatory, use a slow stream of cool or warm water, and wash with thumb and forefinger until there is no more gritty feeling. Then I blot the area dry; if I don't, I sometimes get a little red sore due to fungus, but athlete's foot ointment clears that up in a day or two.

It h correct that it is not beneficial to have oversensitivity in the glans. It becomes less useful for sexual activity than when it has enough toughness to handle activity. While the washing may be of benefit it is strange to see the main "cure" for this oversensitivity not mentioned much. IT IS EXPOSURE TO AIR! this why you are less likely to see this question from someone that is circumcised or "autocircumcised".

Act appropriately- play with it including having the foreskin not covering the glans for as many hours as possible or always. Look at it as the wearing it bare being part of entering adulthood!

Overambitious washing may have caused this. I use no soap or cloth, just thumb and forefinger until all the gritty stuff is gone. They pat dry with towel (don't rub). Leaving it exposed to air all the time will cause the head and inner foreskin to grow keratin covering, same material as fingernails! That might eliminate pain, put would drastically reduce sensation.

It is sad that no one has tried to get you an answer in a year!

You probably have survived and maybe found an answer.

I thin k there is more fear of the possibility of the foreskin getting stock behind the the glans than there needs to be! There are even doctors mentioning this and suggesting circumcision which of course prevents the problem.

It needs to be recognized that that is a bad problem, and that it is something to watch for but need not stop you from retracting the foreskin. I think there is less likelihood of swelling there if the foreskin has not been aggressively moved back and forth a lot of times and then left back, as the moving of the skin many times can help cause a swelling.

In most cases I would expect that the foreskin can be retracted, possibly easier without a real strong erection. Once this can be done ocasionlly then a wortyhwhile objective would be to lengthen the exposure to air which will help reduce painfullness and actually help make the penis more rugged and usable. The best sensations are when the glans can be completely uncovered.

Many of us male guys enjoy seeing and feeling the knob without the foreskin covering it.

Hi Good Medical Boy:

You need not be concerned about your foreskin getting stuck. That condition is called paraphimosis and is easily correctible.

You are blessed with an erogenous, highly-innervated foreskin. Many unforeskinned guys would envy your foreskin. You are extremely wise to want avoid circumcision.

You are very fortunate to have parents that did not circumcise you. You have a whole, complete penis so you have sex the way nature intended it.

Paraphimosis is the name of the condition of a retracted foreskin that is stuck behind the glans penis (head) of the penis and will not go forward. One can read about paraphimosis on the Internet.

If the foreskin is tight enough it can cut off blood circulation to the head and cause edema (swelling due to fluid accumulation). Paraphimosis should be promptly reduced when it occurs. Paraphimosis may be reduced by squeezing the head of the penis really hard to force the blood to leave the head. This will temporarily reduce the size of the head at which time the foreskin may be brought forward.

If attempts to reduce the paraphimosis are unsuccessful, then one should go to the emergency room of a nearby hospital. It is not necessary or advisable to be circumcised although some old-fashioned doctors are likely to recommend it. Circumcision is a very damaging and injurious operation that should be avoided.

You should stretch your foreskin to make it wider so that it does not get stuck again.

When your penis is erect, gently pull your foreskin back against the head of the penis. As the head attempts to pass through the foreskin it will stretch the skin a little. Do this every day and in a few weeks or months your foreskin will widen and you will be able to retract your foreskin. Do NOT force retraction. Do NOT cause yourself pain.

It works by tissue expansion. Stretching skin induces “mitosis” which is a word that means “division of cells”. New skin cells are formed and the skin expands but it takes some time. The increase in size is permanent. Be patient and give mitosis time to work.

The important thing is to put the skin under tension every day so that it will grow wider.

Had the same problem use cotton buds dipped in water doesnt hurt and removes smegma also pour a cup of water on it with a bit of soap to disinfect it as you dont want bacteria there. Also in the shower bounce the water of your stomach onto the head as it removes the pain

Thanks so much for this, it is the only thing that worked for me for a while and stopped the inevitable stench of smegma. I can now clean properly but at the time, this was really useful.

Sometimes if your foreskin is tight enough you can urinate like normal and it catches debris as you said. You just need to squeeze to remove it from your system as not doing so can add to the smell
