Hello:
You are quite ambitious. However....the average recovery time for adults is 15 to 20 days, according to my research. It will take several days to completely recover from the general anesthesia. Again, according to research, you will have a severely sore throat for about 1 week (meds will help), you will be on soft foods for a while....and so on. I don't think it's a good idea to schedule yourself back to work in 5 days. If you don't make it, you might cause a problem for yourself at work. As I told another member....Many times people start feeling better after surgeries, etc. and they jump back into their regular routine to quickly, which causes a subsequent set back. Give yourself some time for healing so that you can be done with this problem once and for all.....Take care and let us know how things go for you. You can help others in your same situation.
