I had a ruptured appendix 8 years ago. The appendix apparently ruptured days before my surgery, but there it calcified.  The surgeon said it saved my life, but i would have died if I waited 3 hours longer for surgery.  As it was, he had to remove part of my intestine.  A few hours before my surgery, I notice that I could not lift my right leg up onto the exam table.  The pain went away awhile after the normal healing process, but since has returned. At some times it is so bad that I can't walk without a limp, or climb stair with out pain.  Could the infection have damaged some tendons or even my hip joint?
