Hi there, I'm 29 yrs old, had two kids and had a coil fitted back in October 2008. Two mths ago i had a period that went on for 2 weeks heavy, spotting, nothing for a day then heavy again. Went to doctors had tests done, everything was normal, no infections or STDs, Been ok up till this last month, I've been a nightmare to live with. Mood swings, snappy, irritable, bloated, tiredness, soft stools to diarrhea, wind, spotting, tingly nipples occasionally. Last week i had to take a trip to the doc with two problems, one of them being uncomfortable in the pelvic area, felt like it was going to burst on my right side of my ovary area, hurt when pressed, that passed after 2 days, since then I lost down the loo a pink salmon colour lumpy discharge (no smell), i've been ok for a couple of days and started spotting couple of days ago, nothing today other than losing thick brown (choc moose like) discharge. what on earth is going on? My body has not been then same since I had the Miarina Coil fitted? Can anyone help or suffer with these similar symptoms. Thanks

It sounds to me like you are right in thinking that your coil may have something to do with your issues at this point. I know that something like IUDs can cause a problem, so it's not at all a stretch to find that a coil can also start to cause issues with your body as well. It is fully possible that your body is rejecting it, which does happen on occasion. In any case, I think it's a good idea to ask your doctor about that. Does anyone else have one of these? Do they know what it's like?

Hi:
Could there be a problem with the coil. You didn't mention whether this was checked. They are in a delicate area, which I would imagine could cause problems. You are bleeding heavily which could result in anemia. You are having severe symptoms which should be addressed by a medical professional. Please see someone soon. You don't have to suffer like this. Keep asking until you find solutions. Please let us know when you find relief. Try to relax. I know that's difficult, but the answers are out there. You will find them soon. Take care in the mean time.
