Why did you take Adderall?
Adderall is not likely to affect the result of the home test, but you may have taken it too early.
- What date did your last period start?
- What is the usual length of your cycle (typically 28 days)?
- What date did you expect your period to start?
- What date did you have unprotected sex?
- What other dates since your last period have you had any kind of sex?
- How old are you?
It may be that your exam stress has delayed your period start, but any time you have sex, there is a risk of pregnancy.

Hi Raji
If your last period started 24 November, then 8 December could well have been a fertile day. It could be that 17th was implantation day, and you could have had implantation bleeding, but you didn't say how long your 'period' lasted, or if it were normal. But it could have been a miscarriage. Also it could just be an early period.
Was this the first time you had sex?
What other sexual activity have you had since your last period?
It is too early to test for pregnancy to be certain that a negative result is not false, but a positive result is likely to be reliable.
I suggest testing on 29 December (or 3 weeks after your latest sexual encounter).
I hope this helps as a start.

Yes you could be pregnant. There is the potential of getting pregnant every time you have sex - even protected. However, it could be that you have just missed a period. You haven't given the date of your 'unprotected sex', but if it were 30 Nov with the expected period start of 7 Dec, then that date would be likely to have not been a fertile day. However if you ovulated a week late, then it could have been the day you had sex. But sexual intercourse is not the only way you can get pregnant. Any transfer of sperm into your vagina has the potential to get you pregnant. So what other sexual activity have you had? Is this the first time you had sex, or was it the only time it was unprotected?
As it is now over 3 weeks since your last sex (Or have you had other sexual activity?) a test is likely to be reliable.
I hope that helps as a start

The chances are that you are not pregnant. You had sex at what was probably not a fertile time anyway. Why are you really wanting a baby? That is a serious undertaking! What is the guy's thought on this?

So why not get married first. That will take some adjusting; let alone having a baby. Your unconditional love for each other, shown partly but significantly by marriage will then give a more secure environment for the baby, and a better chance to work on the chances of conception. Sex can then be targeted towards the potentially more fertile times. But perhaps I am overlooking some religious/cultural issues.

Well, that is a further indication that anytime you have sex you can get pregnant even in what is calculated to be an infertile time, and also the risk of false-negatives (possibly too early - you didn't state the date).
My earlier response indicated you might have ovulated later than expected, or other sexual activity (you did not mention what else you did sexually) may have been the cause. What is your next step?

The more likely from what you have said is 16th. 24 weeks ago was 17th, so that is possible. However, can you tell me
1. what is your cycle length (typically 28 days)?
2. What date is your next period was due?
3. How was the 24 weeks determined?
4. What other sexual activity (including intercourse) did you have during June and July?
