Hard Cyst like bumps IN labia minora

Wow, this really helped me a lot!!! Mine are exactly how you described, totally freaked me and my bf of almost 7 years out. I'm only 22 and my bf and I havn't every had sex before 2 years ago with eachother and we both are faithful. I've gotten 2 within the past 2 weeks. Each one popped and had a little discharge with blood after, painful for the rest of the day, then pretty much went away. Im so glad i found this site, i thought i was crazy for a while till i found this and read your quotes. Im only 18 years old and my situation is simular to your stories the pain is terrible to me its to the point were i can barely walk around the apartment. If you found anything to help this problem please let me know what it is, if its possible to even get this fixed before it gets any worse and if thier is such a name for this problem.

I've had a hard pimple like cyst on my left labia minora for about five years now, my dr. told me it would just go away on it's own. Since giving birth, it got bigger and has become very uncomfortable. My dr. suggested removing it, when I went to see a dermatologist, she said that it was just a cyst that was not attached to any glands, it was just really on top of the skin and could be drained. So she numbed the area and then made a small incision to drain the fluid and then that was it. This was yesterday, but today I'm still in a bit of discomfort/pain, she said it would just heal on it's own. Has anyone ever had this done? Will it come back?

I called to make an appointment to get checked for an STI because i thought that MAYBE it was Genital Warts because everything that i have symptom wise is the same thing all of you guys have... i have yet to be tested.. but the lady on the phone said that the only way to get tested for Genital Warts is when the sore is there...
i find that its very itchy aswell... its extremely frustrating expecially because after i have sex with my partner i am in pain to the point that i want to sit on an ice pack!. If there clear bumps that you can see but you pretty much need to have a light shining on your labia and if you touch them you can deffinetly feel them... you can't pop them like you would a zit which suckss..

All i can say is when the sores appear go get checked for an STI just to be safee.. EVEN if your not sexually active because you can contract an STI without having intercourse... if you have a guy "go down on you" i believe the proper termonology is these days you can contract an STI.. that is the most common way for Genital Herpes to be contracted!..

I to have the same problem, only my cyst is on the left labia. I've done some research, and even asked my family, and they've all lead me to the same conclusion - A Sebaceous cyst. Everything I've read about a sebaceous cyst is the exact problem I've been having, and it may be the same for everyone else, not sure. Just thought I'd pass on my findings and see if it helps someone else.

The most common cause would be a bartholin cyst or perhaps an infected gland since you have pain associated with it. These can be removed by a physician and usually they don't come back, though in some cases they do. It is a very simple procedure but might be worth it if this is causing you such grief.

I got them when I was around 15 years old and a virgin... 2 little random white bumps on the left of my labia. It was very scary and confusing, I first tried to tell myself I might be cause of my eczema, but I really had no idea... and searching up the internet to find all those talks about STD didnt make things any better either.
First of all, it really affected my self esteem about having sex with boyfriend, I didnt want him to think it was STD either... But it wasn't painful or anything, still, it was embarrassing... I tried really hard to squeeze it out, and other, than hurting like hell, it did nothing. At most, the top layer of dried up skin on it comes out, plus a little blood, but the bumps still remained, and the whole cycle kept repeating itself.
I ever thought that it might be due to my really really unhealthy menstrual cycle... It comes late and it comes a tiny bit each day and lasts up to a month or 2 month at most sometimes...

I read about people mentioning the ingrown hair and stuff before... But the thing that was closest to what I could belive it was, is that it's oil clot... The remedy stated was to use a warm towel to warm-up the area around it and use a clean needle to sort of jab a hole in the bump... The needle thing didnt work, it was just painful and scary, but I managed to forcefully squeeze one out before, what came out was like those super hard and dried up pimple-seeds... But it grew back, perhaps the oil clotted up again on that spot cause I didn't take care of it properly?

And like a week ago, while I was showering, another bump "burst" on its own, while I was cleaning myself below, I was surprised, cause I had been waiting so long for it to 'get ripe and harden and fall off or just burst open" like a pimple... And finally months later, when I wasn't even using force or anything, it comes out... it was not like a fluid sort, more of semi-solidified white-ish yellow discharge, felt slightly oily too.. I'm guessing it's harden pus. I just sorta endured and used all my force to squeeze the "thing" from the bump... quite a bit of blood, but I was so frustrated with having them.

That bump then flattened, but it was really painful cause the skin was torn at there area... I'm really hoping it doesn't come back. -.- It feels and looks so annoying.
But at least we all know it isn't anything dangerous or anything to be ashamed/embarrassed/worried about.

Just an FYI to reassure others even more that this is not an STD, I have had 3 herpes tests and 2 HPV tests, all of which came back negative. Hope that helps!

its nice to know that there are other people out there that are having the same problem as I am with this "cyst" thing. :-) What I want to know is, "is it contageous?" Can I give it to my boyfriend? :-(

I too have had a problems with pimple like bumps on my Labia majora. It started out very small, almost pea sized. It stayed that way for several weeks (I was sexually active with my husband the whole time). All of a sudden, it increased in size to the size of a marble. It was very painful and VERY red and swollen. I finally had to get some relief ~ I tried pricking it with a needle. My husband was able to squeeze out small amounts of pus. He squeezed until I was unable to take the pain. We treated it with antibotic ointment and hydrogen peroxide. It took several times of squeezing the bump until all the pus was out of it. We treated with antibotic ointment until the 'scratch' from the pin was completely healed.

I have neutrofibromatosis type 1 and get these all the times, they're simply harmless - but bloodly painful - cysts. They're benign and annoying, don't panic folks just keep calm and carry on.

hey! i have had this same thing. mine is on my left labia. when it is touched or rubbed it hurts really bad. and if i squeeze it it hurts or might burst inside. i have gotten a needle before and popped it and clear fluid shot out really fast. then it went down but you could still feel the "bag like thing" that the pressured liquid was in. after a few days it might come back or it might not. i have some what figured out that it starts to form when my hormones go crazy. and this thing has appeared many times. i am not sexually active, so i know its not an std. but it still scares me. it's hard at the touch because of the pressure inside it. its painful when i walk, sit down, move seating position, cheerleading, etc.. i have been to the doctor but everytime i go, its not there cause i have bursted it or something cause it hurts too much. and i tell the doctor and she says its just a cyst that its ok and that everyone has them. but i dont think this is normal. its scary actually. i am wanting to get the entire cyst removed. and also... i know this is another type of something else. but on my other labia (the right side) there is a knot like thing on it. and i can see this type of "string" or "tube" looking thing attached to it. but this thing does not have anything in it. it is just hard and like a knot or something. it is on the inside of the skin of the labia as well as the other thing. and i clean myself good, i know, every single day. more than once. so i dont think it is a cleaning problem. and also another question... how come if i clean myself really good, during the day i smell an odor from there? it is like some sort of discharge i have. i am not sure. i am only 17. i dont understand this. and i wipe the discharge when i notice it is there but the smell is still there cause it is on my underwear and the discharge keeps coming throughout the whole day. i feel not normal and weird. but i dont know what else to do. i just need answers. please.

try witchhazel compresses. a natural astringent helps to shrink the tissues during an inflammation

CASTOR OIL -- In the past, when I've gotten one of these painful little bumps, this remedy has always worked for me:

Get one of those flat, round cotton pads, like the kind they sell at the drugstore for cosmetics (make sure it's sterile) and cut or tear off a piece from it that will generously cover around the area where the cyst-like thing is located. For example, the last painful little cyst-thing I had was about 4mm, and I tore off about a centimeter long piece of the cotton pad. This part's not an exact science, you just want to make sure the all around the general area is covered. Alternatively, you could just use a thinned out cotton ball, or an tiny piece of clean, undyed flannel. But I find the flat, round pads work best, plus they're inexpensive and I tend to have them on hand for other uses.

Saturate the cotton completely and thoroughly with castor oil and place it over the area where the cyst is. It should stick fairly well and you should be able to shape it to your anatomy. Wear it for about 1-2 hours.

The castor oil will dissolve the bump. May leave a sore spot that will heal within a couple days, but at least that painful little thing will be gone.

mine is similar but its on the inside of my labia majora. no puss or anything. hurts really bad when touched. its up towards the front, not in the back where the sebaceous glands are. ive seen pictures on google of what a sebaceous cyst is and it looks just like that but not in that spot. any answers would be greatly appreciated, im 18 and really dont wanna go to the gyn. haha.
