I have the same thing as the first few girls. No popping, no head, just red, sore, and a hard lump. mine is perfectly round. Which is concerning because I think cancer is symmetric. I am sexually active as i am married. But have had STD screenings every 6mos since i became sexually active, and ALWAYS taking the proper steps to protect my self. I have recently became pregnant with our third child and am wondering if its just from hormones. I have a dr. apt at the end of the month. I hope I can give the rest of you some incite on what you may have. But please go see your gyno.

XD I am so happy to find this forum because i am 19 and sectually active and i always use condoms so i freaked of course when i started getting these bb like bumps under the skin around my labia. my gyno had to lance one of them because it was the size of a dime and it turned out she tested it and it was nothing that was recorded so she gave me some antibiotics to make it go away and they didn't works so then she said it was just fluid build up from my lube glands. of course they are still bugging me and quite painful at times and she told me to use hot compresses and such, but who really wants to sit with their legs spread with a warm wash rag in between there, very uncomfortable. I wish i knew how to stop them.they come and go, but i wish they would just go..

hello,
i have had the same, a hard lump the size of a pea on my labia majora, i am 19 now and started getting them when i was 18. what i have found works best for me is change underwear (might be an allergy to washing powder-not sure though) and put a warm compress on it... for me it goes away over night but is still abit tender for a couple of days after. hope this helps.

i have the same problem as everyone above accept mine is on both the left and right labia, and there are about 2 lumps on one side and 1 on the other, on a pain scale its about a 5, i find that my undies rub on the lumps which gives a lot of discomfort and pain, the lumps arent totally visible unless felt although in the places where the lumps are there is brusing on top of the skin, which really worries me.

just wondering if anyone can give an insight or should i go get tested for everytthingg out there? iv searched everywhere on the net and cant find an answer anyhweree!.

thanks

this is sort of like what i had, but different. i've been sexually active on and off, and only recently did these show up (after 3 or so years of naughtiness). the first was on the inside of my right lip (labia...major i think...the one on the outside, with hair). it was in an area that had hair (i shave tho) so i thought it was ingrown, i've had a few of those, not too bad, but when i tried to pinch it and get out the stuff it just hurt like the dickens and got smaller, then bigger, then smaller and sort of moved a bit, then went away. now i have another one towards the left on the hood area, maybe a little higher, it just peeks out above where the outer lips start. they both were pretty hard and i think something might have come out, but i'm not sure...hard to see.
i'm too scared to say anything to my mom or see a doctor yet, cause i don't wanna scare my mom or have her think i'm a w**** or something....but i'm scared and i'm not sure if it's a normal thing or not....but i checked picture after picture of stds and none of them matched, so maybe it's not that....but i'm still scared. :$

I never had these before I had my first child. But now I get them with some regularity always two weeks before my period! I get them all over my labia majora and minora. Some I can burst and some I cannot. They bother me so much that I almost always try to burst them. I have had ones that were too deep to burst and they swelled so much and hurt so much that I couldn't function without discomfort! I hate this. Is it hormonal. Why would I get them after having babies when I went thirty years without getting them?

I am a 41 year old woman who has had several female surgeries and ovarian cysts. Three years ago I had to have my uterus and cervix removed. About two years ago i began to get the same Labia or Clitoral bumps that you all are talking about. I agree that they are painful. It started with one and I squeezed it..and ouch...did that hurt. It was hard like it had a core in it. Then within a week there was two of them. The pain had increased. I went to my Gyno and he gave me an antibiotic and said it was an infected gland. It didnt clear up. Now I have a cluster of them and they have hard centers. I too have one side thats bigger than the other and it is painful. If you squeeze them hard enough, which makes you sick to your stomach...a white hard substance will eventually come out and blood, but then for days you are swollen and can hardly sit. My fear is that if my gyno lances it..it will be without any kind of numbing agent...I know I had a biopsy done and I felt that..I never want that feeling again..I am just wondering if there isnt an herbal remedy or natural treatment we are missing? I hate the thought of being cut on..in an office..without being truly numb, especially near the most sensitive region of our bodies. It just seems odd that I have never had these bumps..until the last couple years...I am so glad I found others who are dealing with the same issue..I thought I was alone.

I have had the same exact problem for a couple of weeks now. I'm so glad I found others who have the same problem. I was freaking out because I thought it was cancer or something, but by the sounds of things on here, it may be just a cyst. Thank you all soo much, you have no idea how much you've calmed my nerves. I'm going to try that hot compress idea. Thank you all again.

"My doctor said that it is an ovariun cyst" ..... your doctor must have bought his medical licence! An ovarian cyst forms ONLY ON the OVARY not on the labia.

I get theses bumps as well...i find i get them around the time of my period (but not every time) and they only last 2 or 3 days before they go away on their own..I am sexually active...I have been with the same man a few years now and I have been checked for stds (negative) .The bump is always in the same place on my left labia minora. It is hard and painful to touch. I varies in size though...sometimes it is small (the size of bb) and others it is big like a tic tac..it is red and sometimes it get irritated and swells a bit..very uncomfortable...as anyone actually figured out what it is exactly?

I have been getting these for a little over a year, in a growing number of places along my labia (minora) on both sides, as of late. Now I am getting them nearly constantly (at least once a month, as far as I can tell), and lateley they are so severe that I have been seeking medical attention...to no real avail. Two doctors have told me that it is most likely herpes...I have been with my husband exclusively for the last four years, and I don't see how I wouldn't be aware of something like that until now....besides, it doesn't look anything like herpes as far as I'm concerned...also, the first one I ever got, my doctor called it 'foliculitis' and said it was from shaving, but it is now happening when I dont shave , it happens no matter what i do! Accompanying this last bout, I also got a lot of swollen lymph nodes in my groin as well...Have tried baths, etc, no relief....any more advice would be truly appreciated,

i noticed that when i hit puberty at age 13 my got them (they are called SEBACEOUS CYSTS) and i was so worried-and even my mum made it worse by letting me it was caused by me shaving and she was pretty cruel about it too- but i silently kept my battle up with it for the next 2-3 years later before i plucked up the courage to go to my GP but she was pretty useless in telling me how to 'really' get rid of them for good all she said was use and exfoliating bathing sponge to get rid of dead skin cells causing the block and i went of on my way but after one week they came back (evil buggers) but ive been researching this and its good to know that im not the only one and there are other people out there that understand.so im gonna try to take action by visiting a professional dermatologist or gynocologists..:|

Oh thank goodness! I thought I was alone in this. I found this ONE bump yesterday. On the inside of the right lip, and it's tiny. It's about the size of a half of a popcorn kernel. But it scared me because I've never had anything like that before. It does kinda feel like a tic tac in that it's hard, but it almost feels gritty if I try to squeeze it. I thought it might be a blister or something which freaked me out thinking OMGHERPES, but there's no fluid. I have no idea what this is!

I noticed mine while i was pregnant with my daughter about a year and a half ago, i had a reaction to some body wash and when all the swelling went away there was a little lump like a pimple but hard on my inner labia( left side down by the hole) after having my daughter i had it checked out and was told it was a cyst and that i am to go back when it changes, recently it has started to get bigger and bleed when i wipe also the labia are getting very irritated and i can feel a smaller lump forming near by the original cyst. Im getting scared and my doctor just keeps telling me its a cyst. There is no discharge and it definitely wont pop (and i wont take a needle anywhere near that area!) Can anyone help me?
