I have been looking at alternatives to shaving because I can't handle the bikini line razor burn anymore. I have looked into electric razors but that will only last a few days (the smoothness I mean). I then came across epilators. Has anyone tried them? A lot of the reviews say they are painful, as I would assume since they're ripping the hair out. I also read on a website that they can cause discoloration with prolonged used. I'm not sure if this is true or not and I also only saw it on one website. If anyone has some advice or insight about the epilators and if they're worth the money please let me know! Thank you!

I think that it depends on the epilator because even as a guy who needs to stay groomed sometimes I've used Nair and it works like a charm. Have you considered that? Also, there's a lotion that things body hair, did you look into that at all? I think it might be a good idea. Let me know what you decide on!

The lotion (?) is Vaniqa. Unfortunately you need a prescription to get it. I'm not sure why...they claim there are few side effects. I imagine it is fairly expensive but I'm not sure.

Actually I never used it 'down there'. Is it safe for use down there? I thought that they recommended that you only use it for legs or arms, but not more sensitive skin.
