I tried shaving so that there;s only a landing strip. But the area I shaved doesn't look smooth. I can still see stubble and not smooth. What can I do to make it look cleaner and smoother? And the hair growth is really fast. Any problems with shaving it TOO OFTEN?

hi, when you shave the hair is cut off at skin level and as it continues to grow the blunt edges can be very obvious making it seem as though they are thicker and darker. There are other methods which completely remove the hair at the root, such as waxing, however some people with sensitive skin find that the wax can really irritate them. Most salons now do use hypoallergenic products - those for sensitive skin so if waxing is for you try speaking to some salons an see what they can offer. Another option is using an epilator, something you can use at home. it is similar to an electric shaver but instead of cutting off the hairs at skin level it removes them at the root, just like waxing, but you can do this yourself at home. They have lots of tiny tweezers whixh grip the hairs and pull them out. Some people find this slightly uncomfortable but most makes and models now have vibrating plates or ice which help. Any method that removes hair at the root means that it takes a lot longer for the hair to grow back and when it does it will be weaker and finer. A lot of people find that in time a lot of the hair doesn't grow back at all. To reduce the risk of the itchy bumps (ingrowing hairs) make sure you exfoliate and moisturise regularly. hope this helps.

use a brand new sharp razor and shaving cream for sensitive skin, throw the razer out after first use, blut blades can pull out hair if you use them again, this can cause redness and bleeding. Some times you may need to use 2 razor heads or razors each go. (Y)
