The only way to know for sure is to get tested through blood tests. Your doctor can then definitively diagnose you and prescribe the type of treatment you need. Waiting to find out can be detrimental to your health so you should do this as soon as possible. Some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism can be weight gain, fatigue, muscle aches, thinning hair, depression, and sensitivity to cold. Hyperglycemia has symptoms that include: frequent urination, fruity-smelling breath, fatigue, headache, and blurred vision. You can see that it is imperative that you see your physician about your symptoms and get treated soon!

I thought for the longest time that I had hypothyroidism and I had went to the doctor to get checked out. I was so upset that I had that and I also had HYPERGLYCEMIA. So be prepared if you go to the doctor that you may not only have just one problem but two. It has been a nightmare with the meds I have to take and the new way of eating. I don't like the diet but if I want to live longer, I have to follow it. It makes eating out more difficult and going out with my friends.
