Headache Virus???

Had this for over a month. Started with a tight chest and feeling generally lousy, that then developed into fluish type symptoms which passed but left me with strange fuzzy spells in the head. A feeling like the second before you faint or being on drugs. These became more and more frequent until I had one which lingered and didn't pass for a few days. Thought I was on the mend but then two days later got a really bad migraine which has stuck around, although it feels as if its slowly dissipating now(hope so).

I've felt really strange the whole time I've had it. Uncoordinated, losing my train of thought and generally pretty fatigued. Went to the Doctor and had blood tests, took blood pressure and a general examination. All came back clear, he said it may be a virus but to come back if it worsens any.

I had the same symptoms plus bad joint and muscle aches severe headaches that get so much worse with standing. I went to see my doctor after day 3 and she just said the same thing bad virus going around it usually lasts 7-11 days try not to infect anyone else try to drink smoothies since I have no appetite and drink lots of fluid because I was loosing fluid from sweating so much from my fever. She prescribed me some Robitusin codeine cough syrup because she said the virus usually ends with coughing and congestion but it the only thing that helps with my horrible headaches in Excedrin and your not supposed to take more than 2 a day :(.

oh my doctor also tested for strep to rule that out and diagnosed it as viral pharyngitis which just means a virus in your throat because the back of my throat was also very red and painful. Either way a virus is a virus meaning antibiotics wont work so getting a second opinion isnt really necessary because even if they pinpoint exactly what virus it is there is still no treatment for it. Menigitis has severe symptoms and is usually accompanied by a high fever and rash youd know within a day or 2 of being sick if you had it. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it seems we are all just going to be stuck in bed with excedrin and fluids for the next week or so :

hi I have had a very bad headache and nausia with vomiting and neck pain I have had it now going on second week I am taking migrain meds and nausia meds but not helping much headache may ease up but wont go away and im not sleeping, dose anyone know what it is?

What is this evil virus???! I have never had such a virus or heard of it & see years of posts with no name given. Anyways it's highly contageous, no congetstion or any normal signs of how a virus can pass. Nobody coughed or sneezed on me. I have no idea how I got it. I keep a good personal bubble for the most part. Vommiting only lasted 1 day but this freaking headache! I only missed 2 days of work & the 2nd was by choice to rest & not infect anyone. But I'm on hardcore pain RX for existing chronic back pain, I don't know what it would feel like without meds. I can tell the pressure in my head is diminishing on day 4 but my neck hurts so dang bad. Anyways I would like to hear what they call this evil & I also wonder how dangerous it is.

I forgot one more symptom, I've had trouble making correct sentences a couple times since I've gotten this. I know that's like a stroke symptom but it appears to be the virus. I thought maybe it's this new RX they gave me but no, it happens 12 hours after I've taken anything. Strange.... Hopefully it's not destroying brain cells. I def screwed up at work at least twice. For those talking about sneezing/coughing, there's none of that. Just the lingering headache & neck ache. I only had body aches the day before I threw up & only had the nausea 1 day. Bizarre.

I have been having headaches to the right side of my head...nothing too severe.  I am also suffering from extreme sleepiness and exhaustion. WHen i walk around, it is like a haze, almost like a hangover.    I had a brain scan and it was all clear. The doctor said it is probably a virus but could not elaborate further.  My WBC was a bit low too.

Yes it is a virus and people are getting it .I have it right now, also my son, daughter and brother who all live in the house has it. One of my girlfriends was just saying her husband has had a headache for like a week. I hope this helps. Sorry:-( Tikie

It started out lke a cold: sneezing and a runny nose for a day...then I was hit with the most painful headache and sinus pain I have ever experienced. The pain was located on the left side of my head and into my sinuses. My doctor said it was fall allergies and I bought all these herbs and nothing helped me except extra strenghth Tylenol which I took every 12 hours. I did use a home made nasel spray of purified water, sea salt and baking soda which helped a little. I has lasted two weeks and is finally going away. Now I find out a whole lot of people in my area (NW Michigan) have experienced the same virus! Mostly children but some adults, too. One man is still suffering and it has lastd for more than two weeks and still going strong...I can't believe more people aren't talking about this!!

I'm 32 years old & started off with a small headache a few hours later while driving I felt dizzy & nauseated. I almost couldn't make it home. My head was banging, any sound or light caused excruciating pain. I took a Tylenol 3, which didn't help much. I spent the rest of the night in the bad. The next day my headache was still there but not as severe. This continued for another 3 days. My 19 year old niece came over to help with my kids. The next day she started experiencing the same symptoms. On the 3rd day my husband started having them too. I never heard of a headache virus but we all came down with extremely painful headaches with nausea and dizziness. A minor headache last for another 3 days.

My 13 year old son is on day 44 of this. Headache - two types, rash, welts, joint pain, urge to urinate without going, back pain, vascular issues of red and white splotches on hands and feet, and purple feet. All symptoms come and go except for the headache and itchyness. He had been hospitalized 2x for migraine cocktails. We have been to allergists, rheumatologists and neurologists. Conclusion is that some unknown virus has thrown off his systems and it must be waited out!

Hey everyone I also have had bad headaches and dizziness for the last 7 days I went to the doctor and then the emergency with both of them telling me it sounds like a viruse. The are correct it is a virus. I have had these episodes happen to me a couple times a year and I always react the same " it's gotta be something else but sure enough after 2 weeks it just disappears . so hang on and it will go away .

This started Fruday with dizziness then it went to a really really bad headache and I've been sleeping since Friday at 3:00. No appetite nothing works not even caffeine. I never had a migraine hedache this is so painful and now it's on the left eye. I feel sick on my stomach but I just want to sleep Does anyone know what can help please let me know

I have had this headache for three weeks now. Been excessively tired, sleeping in the day for an hour or more. Achy too. Had upset tum for few days which I sorted out with probiotics. Symptoms are easing now ....sort of comes and goes.
