i had severe head pain ( it felt like my head was going to explode) for just over 10 days - doctor said to watch my temperature in case it was meningitis. On the 8th day my temp rose a little over 37 and the pain was still excruciating - i went to hospital scan was normal - lumbar puncture (spinal tap) was normal too. i went on a dip for an hour and came home still feeling headaches. It went away fully after about 15 days. all better now - but a horrible experience - i've never felt pain like it and was off work for 8 days or so.

I had the same thing. I never get headaches. Woke up with crushing headache and stomach pain. Also felt very weak/shaky. after 5 days went to doc. He said it is a virus many are coming in with. Thought it was along the lines of norovirus, and would last 3-7 days. Lasted every bit of 7 days. Today is day 9 and the headaches are gone, still have slight upset stomach and don't have all my strength back....but so glad my head isn't pounding!

A week ago I started with severe headaches, terrible neck pain, chills and low grade fever off and on. Fever was 99-100. I am so weak I have challenges going downstairs. Strange thing with this....the glands over my thyroid and left side of my neck hurt.

I'm in Sydney, Australia. I've also had the headache, fatigue and vertigo symptoms for the past week. My husband took me to the emergency department on the fifth day as I could barely walk by myself and the headaches became markedly worse. Doctors at the hospital were completely stumped - they did so many tests, and so many specialists...and no conclusions. I spent a night in neurology ward, and sent home the next day. BP was really low (90/68) too. Weird. Now my daughter is experiencing similar symptoms. Will be letting the doctors know!

Mine started Thursday night with severe chills which was followed by a fever about 100° plus, I felt like I was frozen to the bone, and then the nasty migraines started. I had a little bit of dizziness, but I have a strong stomach so that's probably why I didn't throw up. It's now Sunday night I've been taking aspirin for the headaches and for the fever, but I still have bad headaches and a little fever.

This virus has been plaguing my family off and on for about 9 months now.....It keeps coming back! Granted not as bad as the first time but the symptoms of having an achy neck, nausea and eventual diarrhoea a few days later (for a day) as well as a mild fever, slight sore throat, achy joints, exhaustion and some dizziness are a pain in the neck, pardon the pun!
No one seems to know what it is, especially the G.P's here in the UK. A lot of people we know are getting it now and after my hubby did online research we think that it could be related to the Epstein Barr virus that causes glandular fever. The symptoms are similar and it would explain why it keeps coming back as Epstein Barr is related to the herpes virus. Its only a hunch since I'm not at all medical. Just fed up of being sick with this dang thing! Anybody else have a clue?

We are in Ohio and my significant other has complained of a migraine-type headache with neck pain starting yesterday and he still has it. Ibuprofen isn't helping for him. No vomiting, though. I'm starting to get a headache now, too, and I seldom have headaches. I also feel my face getting flush.
