My husband (yes he is a man, theses days you never know) had or I has the same symptoms. So it might not be pregancy related. Anyway he has been dealing with this for 2 years now. Went to many doctors who just said moting was wrong and it was just stress. But last night he noticed the heartbeat in the stomach, which he has had before but didnt think about it.

i am a 28 year old male but i have been having the same problems for about a month now. haven't changed my diet except i don't get hungry anymore. the dwindling times that i do eat it's the same things i always have. a fairly healthy diet. i am under alot of stress due to the fact i'm going through a divorce and employment opportunities in my area are quickly dwindling. i worry alot because i recently found out my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and my father has type 2 diabetes. while these could be possible causes i've known most of this for a few months now and the symptoms just arose like i said about a month ago. i've been to doctors, had ultrasounds, been put on several different medicines and had alot of them tell me many different things. not sure where to look for answers anymore.

The heartbeat in your stomach is normal. It's your own heartbeat. What you are feeling is a story of echo your not pregnant because if you were you would feel nothing like a heartbeat and it would be in your pelvis not above your belly button.

Hi I had a off period last month (Nov.20) it came for 3 days then left friday. Then that Sunday it came back. I did have unprotected sex and I am now 2 days late. But I put a tampon into check (sorry TMI) and there was only a light pink spot not very big. Idk what to do. Is this normal??

I am a 27 year old female. I have several hernated disks in my low back as well as sciatica. I was in physical therapy today and I was positioned on top of two pillows that were under my stomach. I was doing some back extensions when all the sudden I felt my own heartbeat right by my belly button. There was no pain at all but when I mentioned that I felt my heartbeat out loud...the main therapist came over, told me to lay on my back and he began to press on my stomach. He felt my heartbeat in my abdoman as well. When he pressed on the opposite side, I felt a little pain or discomfort but nothing too bad. He told me he was concerned becasue I have low back pain and the combination of the low back pain along with the heartbeat in my stomach was cause for concern. He called my neurologist and explained what I felt and what he felt and they both aagreed I go the the ER. I was deffinately concerned after that conversation. I have the mirena IUD, I have not have a period in over 5 years (not even spotting or cramping), I have one child, I take a multi-vitamin, zoloft, and mobic (an anti inflamitory) everyday. I have terrible anxiety, frequent depression, but otherwise I'm quite healthy. My PT and neurologist told me to not leave the ER until they at least give me a scan of my stomach, ultrasound, or CT scan...I was in the ER for 5 hour, had blood drawn, peed in a cup, and had a chest x-ray. They cleared me and sent me home with no stomach scan or ultrasound. I was told all about the aorta and all that jazz but I do not believe the ER did all that they were supposed to so I will be following up with other specialists. The only thing I do not experience is the frequent urination that I have read in all the previous posts. Good luck to everyone and I wish you all the best. Do not settle for one opinion...get a second opinion because it could help avoid further or worsened conditions.

I am a 50 years old male and for the last few years been experiencing similar symptoms including lower back issues and what feels like systemic inflammation. But after going gluten free my symptoms have nearly resolved! I later discovered  I was gluten sensitive and celiac, and also have developed Autoimmune condition that is likely Shogrens disease, but those symptoms have greatly improved since going gluten free.

I would encourage you to at least try going gluten-free for a few weeks (it is challenging as hidden gluten is everywhere and things that should for a pair to be gluten-free are not) and see if your symptoms improve. Also testing for gluten antibodies might show something but does not always indicate all gluten related syndromes.

In a nutshell if your body is reacting to gluten or other food sensitivities or allergies your immune system may become exhausted and other opportunistic things like Candida and bacteria can overwhelm your system. In my case probiotics seemed to make my condition worse as the underlying condition was immune related probiotic diet seemed to actually feed Candida.

Symptoms include the following -ightheadedness, abdominal cramping, chest pain from indigestion, indigestion, pain in right side rib cage area, air and bloating, gassy, stools (early morning regular then a few loose ones) from 1-4 times a day (the average being 2-3), body aches, joint aches, numbness in legs, vision seems a bit off, chills here and there, headaches, fatigue, feeling thirsty primarily afternoon through evening, and last but not least, right testicular pain which i think is from lower abdominal pain (I am a man). Usually this starts off with frequent bowel movements and very frequent urination and indigestion. This will last about a day, then the frequent urination drops off. A few days of abdominal cramping and indigestion and frequent soft stools. The latter half is usually just fatigue, feeling out of it, very minor cramping if any. It can last 4 days to 3 weeks. Each time is different. I have been visiting the doctor and a GI and nothing so far. I know this is something going around hence we are all here. But what is it ?!?!? I took some antibiotics for 3 days called Rifaximin which seemed to really clear me up. But it came back. Maybe I did not have enough antibiotics? I take probiotics daily, have been alternating both vegan and a vegetarian diet the entire time. My wife has it, I think my kids may have it but they are too young to really tell. It does not seem to be contagious but i have no idea. I have had both blood work and stool testing, and they all come back perfect.

So a heart beat in the stomach is very common and more so noticible in skinnier people although larger people.can see it as well...the artery in your heart is the middle of your chest and has to pump blood away from the heart to all your major organs...with this being said people who are 50+ or smokers can also have an aortic annurisium which can be very serious...not pooping?? Eat some fiber drink lots of water eat fruit...try fiber 1 bars...get a pregnancy test make sure your not pregnant and go see your doctor to make sure you are aok
