I went for my first abortion 4 days ago and I have had very little bleeding up until today. Earlier this evening I felt a rush of blood clots come out and it had soaked the pad I was wearing. I was able to clean it up and didn't have much more trouble until about a half an hour late when I was getting out of a car. The exact same thing happened and it is really scary. It happened again but I expected it to so I went and sat on the toilet and it's really bad again. Is this normal?im really scared because there seems to be a lot of blood even though it is clotting. The amount of clots and blood seems to be enough to soak through a pad if I just left it on.

I just had an abortion on saturday and I am experiencing something similar. I was 6 weeks and had the surgical one done. I've been bleeding more today than I did after the procedure. I have read it's normal though. Like when you get up, there is a rush that comes down. It might just be tissue left behind. But if you soak more than a pad an hour you should see your doc. Otherwise, it seems okay. Do you have pain also?
