hello im paul i had arealy bad crash nearly tore off my left foot 5 or 6 ops later its no better 5 years down the line pills and morphine i hate i was looking for some advice on haveing the foot took off its not something i take lightly iv bin looking in to it for along time now i just cant take the pills every day and the pain so eny help would be good im 43 live in south west england gloucestershire cheers paul p.s sorry bout the spelling etc didnt do much school as achild sorry

Aww, so sorry - again, tough decision, any way you look at it. I think you should decide based upon what will give you the best quality of life and I think that life without pain and meds is definitely a benefit. But go and talk this through in every detail with your doctor - you need all the information on this you can get. If it takes two doctors and two opinions - get them. You can't spend your life in pain. But it ultimately comes down to you - how much more can you take. And I hope someone with similar experience here will give you some ideas what to expect.
