heroin vs. oxycodone

Just saw this thread out of curiousity. I'm prescribed oxycontin for severe pain due to 4 back surgeries. Started with vics 5/500 then Norco 10/325 also had percs 10/325 with aspirin but that made my vision blurry do to blood thinning of the aspirin so now I'm at oxy's, a normal day is 2 80mgs... 1 in the morning and In the evening....I have a max limit per month I can take...if I go over I can take MSCONTIN and 2/30's twice a day...they do nothing as far as euphoria or buzz feeling whatsoever but the definitely ease withdrawls and are midly pain relieving ...ive found that I can minimize tolerance build if I switch every 15 days...15 on oxycontin and 15 on MSCONTIN. I had to do this due to exceeding my recommended dose to my highest point of 320mg/day or an 80 every 6 hours.... that was a problem with major side affects....ive thought about H but still haven't pulled that trigger...I have done every type of Kratom on the market and it does zero...zilch, nada......did make my.skin flush red with one blend but that was it.......

I've been on Oxycodone IR 30mg. I had been up to 30 of these pills per day, now down to 6 30mgs per day, as my doctor been tapering me. I've been tested and proven to have an "absorption" issue with the oxycodone, therefore I can't take long acting oxy or long acting morphing.
My KAISER PERMENENTE doctors have insisted on reducing despite the proven, doctor diagnosed absorption problem; (I had gastric bypass, and the doctor took "to much" small intestine, therefore causing me to be constantly anemic, my calcium has broken down I've lost my teeth.
The reason I take the oxycodone is I have a kidney disorder that processes my calcium through my kidney, causing me to have a constant "calcium grit" small sandlike kidney stones to be running through my urine 24 hrs a day. I don't sleep because I can't lean on my right side flank area.
Anyway, due to the fact that my docs are reducing, I went downtown, found the drug dealers, and established an aquitance with one of them, where I get heroin. I got insulin syringes, and do IM injections of heroin, when I've used up all my oxycodone, which is in about 7 days, as I realistically need to have 10-12 a day, as this is the smallest dose I could comfortably go down to. I've told my doctor that I was thinking of going and getting heroin, but of course will not tell him I did, until he reduces it so much that I will have to have the heroin everyday.
I am so frustrated, as I go through about 1 and a half grams of heroin a day to make me at least somewhat comfortable, and to stop the withdrawal from the oxycodone every other week when I run out, as he prescribes me every two weeks for my oxycodone. I've done and IM injection of up to 4 grams one day, as I wanted to die, but every suicide attempt, has only allowed me to have a good long deep sleep. I've taken up to 18 30mgs. at one time, and just slept for the first time all night. It's frustrating, because the docs are weening people off of the oxycodone, while our country is reporting problems with so much heroin coming into the country..... This is why. I am not the only person who has had to turn to heroin because my pain meds are being reduced to a point that takes away any sort of quality life. They wonder why there are so many opiate deaths..... the DEA, and docs, are actually causing the heroin influx into the USA. Then people are not able to measure strength in heroin, causing OD's all the time. The docs, and the DEA are the cause of this problem!!!! no doubt.l

To a light weight user ya and herion is cut with ocxys and other sh*t dude was rt on it don't be a student telling teacher anything i used to do so much it would kill a light weight that's y there's so many overdoses if u want to try heroin or other strong sh*t u better do it with a junkie atlrast junkies can tell u what amount to do

i been on morphine 45 mg a day for 11 years and 60 ms contin a day for 8 months because i have crohns disease hernias and severe rheumatoid arthritis morphine had helped my pain til a month ago then he put me on 30 mg of oxycodone hci ran in conjunction with ms contin i had a follow up with my family doctor a couple of days ago he took me off the mscontin and put me on the fentanyl patch 50 mcg and 30 mg oxycodone hci for the breakthrough pain its going to take a few days before the patches to totally start working but i can feel a bit of a difference in my pain already its becoming more tolerant and calming down pain was at 10 now its down to 7 i dont and didnt any high from any of the meds i been on and taking now only high i get is a caffeine buzz from coffee of a nicotine buzz from my mod and my high watt sub ohm tank my doctor manages my pain he wasnt thrilled about having me on mscontin and running oxy in conjunction with each other because of high risk of addiction and turning to heroin coke meth head so he put me on the fentanyl patch and use oxy to manage my for breakthrough pain instead of running 2 narcotic pain killers in conjunction with each other and having a high risk addiction and withdrawals of from the meds i did have meds ran in conjunction before after i had stomach reconstruction back in January this year was on mscontin and oxys for a couple of months then went to just mscontin then had another surgery in july and after that mscontin and percocet was in conjunction for 2 weeks then went back on mscontin it helped with controlling my pain til middle of last month then it stopped controlling pain unless it was ran in conjunction now my doctor changed my meds im doing better without having oxycodone play a role on daily basis

Not at all. After all, they make 80 mg oxycodone pills. I personally have taken 40 percocets using cold water tylenol extraction. I've also sniffed 15 bags of heroin and taken 12 Xanax. I would never do such stupid things agin, but it's amazing what the body can tolerate.

This nearly makes me cry. I'm so sorry. I hate the idea that people are making the "opiate epidemic" more important than the people who suffer with real pain. Please don't give up.

Goodness I feel compelled to comment on this, if somebody else finds it maybe this will help with the obvious confusion. Ppl oxycodone is the drug, not a pill. Perks are oxycodone10mg/tylenol325mg, oxycotin is oxycodone with time-release, roxicodone is instant release oxycodone. Which really just comes to brands that make different pills and use the same drug. Heroin in its purist form on the other hand is like taking what makes oxycodone, not mixing it with anything and getting the euphoric feeling amplified. That's my guess anyway abt heroin. For that reason I've never done it, felt it'd be Game Over. Maybe someone can verify, bc I can't testify to that one. -I feel better now.

How can people come on here and just say things that they think are 100% true and and don't know what they are talking about! Oxycodone and OxyContin ARE THE SAME THING! OxyContin is time released and oxycodone HCL is instant release and Percocets are Oxycodone with Acetaminophen

Oxycodone Immediate Release takes exactly 45 minutes to kick in and 2 hours 45 minutes after I take it, I no longer feel its pain relief, so it actually only works for 2 hours!! I have a fast metabolism though. The doctor says to use it every 4 to 6 hours?? Where is my pain relief extending past the 2 hour mark??? I have been using Oxycodone 15mg and 20 mg and as much as 40 mg per dose and 240mg per day, for the last four years due to extreme back pain. This Medication for me has never changed as far as the time it takes to work or the time that it takes care of the pain. I also disagree with the darn DEA, "IT DOES NOT MAKE ME STUPID, LAZY, OR CRAZY!!!" I am an extremely active CNC Programmer Machinist that operates Manual Lathes, Manual Mills, and CNC Mills, most of the time 2 CNC Mills of 2 CNC Lathes and I still have all ten fingers!!!! I wish the Government would leave this Medication alone and allow the people who need it for their extreme pain to get what they need!!! This makes me very upset that they think they know what is best but they are not suffering with PAIN!!!! They are weaning me off this medication whether I like it or not!!! Then they wonder why people go to Heroine. DUH!!! Okay now I can get off my soapbox and thanks for listening. I know one thing I will have a very hard time weaning off this c**p. BUT it did work for me to ease the PAIN when I needed it!

OxyContin is Oxycodone but it is in a slow release formula. It lasted exactly 7.5 hours for me and it took 45 minutes to kick in. My insurance would not pay for it so I had to cough up the money. Very Expensive! Then you need to take Oxycodone for the four hours it did not relieve the pain. Seems to be misunderstood what each of these meds do and how long they work, thought I would put my 2 cents in, as I have needed this stuff for the last four years due to extreme back pain. I hope you feel NO PAIN someday soon!

EXACTLY!!! I have had extreme back pain for the last four years, until the Opiate word became the NEW BUZZ word, we were able to get this med to be able to curb the pain. But now my darn doctor is weaning me off whether I like it or not!!! What in the world will I do??? I do not want to buy Heroine, but what do I do?? So I asked my doctor to send me to a pain specialist thinking he would realize and remember that he took the Hippocratic OATH and they are in the business to help people with pain, I am currently using 8 15mg per day coming down from 240mg per day! So I went to see the pain Specialist thinking I might be able to get enough so I am not in pain because as the family doctor is weaning me off I am feeling more and more pain. So back to the Pain Specialist, The doctor came in to my room and we talked and then he told me that he will give me 3 10mg Oxycodone a day!!! I said WHAT!!!!!!! 3 lousy 10mg pills a day???? This has got to be a joke!!!!! NO WONDER OPIATES BECAME THE NEW BUZZ WORD!!! As they take away pain meds from us, we the people that must have them to function MUST do something to protect ourselves!!!! ADVIL, ASPRIN, Ibuprofen, just tickles my pain. If this means going to prison for getting caught for using Heroine to help with the pain well then.... this is NOT the answer but what is?????
