I had an ERCP yesterday and report was entire main bile duct was markedly dilated (20 mm). No stones/strictures seen. Three years ago, a CT Scan of Abdomen/Pelvis showed enlargement of 1.1 mm. Sixteen years ago, ERCP showed enlargement of 12 mm and ERCP showed complete blockage of Bile Duct by scar tissue which was removed.

Procedure yesterday Dx Erythematous Gastropathy and a Biopsy was taken which results will be sent to me in 2 weeks. I have had a lot of ulcers and other gastric problems over the years and have lost about 15 pounds in the last year.

My question: Is there any significance of this continued enlargement of the Common Bile Duct? Should I be concerned about the Gastropathy?
