PCP ordered hidascan May 2014 bc I've had assorted digestive  probs for years -- constipation, unintentional weight loss, indigestion, reflux, etc  (fallout from Shingles virus, CFS).  Result: 73% EF, "normal," he said.  With continued gut probs and more weight loss, PCP sent me to specialist, who ordered another hidascan, Oct 2015.  EF had dropped to 0%, though symptoms had not really worsened -- no severe pain, etc, just chronic constipation, reflux, indigestion, which is generally worse, with more belching, upper gut discomfort.  Absent gallstones (US and CT scan tests negative), what might account for such a drastic EF drop in 16 mos?  Is this common?  Specialist didn't explain; just said I  needed GB removed, things would only "get worse" without surgery.  Any thoughts?  Anyone else  have such drastic changes in test results?  Thanks!  tmc
