My mom has been going through horribly high blood pressure spells and dizziness. She has had to be emitted to the ER one night due to her bp being extremely high! She has taken every test possible and been working with a physician daily. But she keeps going through these high bp spells and head pressure. She is also very healthy and nothing has changes in her life.

Its always a good idea to get a doctors diagnosis. That should be your first step! Even ask the ER: What is wrong with my mother?

High blood pressure is usually caused by the following things:

- Obesity

- Lack of sleep

- High sugar/glucose intake

- Dysfuction or minimal realease of insulin

- Diabeties (Is there history in your family?)

If this has only started reacently she could have something as simple as "vertigo".

You say your mother is "healthy". While being the correct weight is nice, it may not be the full story. Take note of how she sleeps and what she eats.

There is not much you can do but ask. Tell a doctor. What does he say? Because, in the end his opinion is most valuable.

I am diabetic, having high blood pressure (controlled), 73 years of age, active, 73 kilos. Today and yesterday I felt myself move sideways, and had to grab support. I took sugar test and it was 8'4 usually 5. My blood pressure was in my normal range. Can you advise me please?
