I'm the opposite on distance estimation - I'm very accurate on that for some reason. I remember very little on race days - hence my race reports that don't have much but my time and finish place.

I agree with regard to tennis. Most of the time, I play 2 - 3 times per week. Sometimes more. The more I play, the better & more consistent I get. I took 3 weeks off last month and it took me awhile during my first match back last Sunday to get warmed up. I was rusty, for sure.
Swinging a tennis racquet is alot of muscle memory. You won't lose it permanently if you stop playing, but it will begin to fade if you don't work at it. :twocents:

running takes talent....i wouln't be able to be so much better at it then the average 8th grader.....and even with the ones that aren't crazy like me and run for fun you can compare to someone else and see a huge difference in skill and endurance (i love physical fitness testing!).....
besides, i think the oppisite of some of you people....baseball, basketball, all those other sports ( :D ) are just an excuse for not being able to run!!! but, yes, they require skill, hand-eye coordination, lazyness, ect.
sorry, i love running too much :umno:
