10-15 minutes is my general tolerance, but that often depends on what we are waiting for and how the kids are behaving

I have waited for up to 90 minutes for a doctor. My OB with Jacob couldn't be on time to save her life. I always told her too how it was very rude to make someone wait THAT long, but since Jake was such a problematic fetus, I really had no choice.
I only ever waited for her. Other doctors, I don't wait longer than a half hour, and I try to be a patient patient. One time, when I had to see a breast specialist, I waited for a half hour and then left, explaining that I'd never be back. They called of course and were very sorry, and I explained that yes, they are very sorry, and I will be spending my insurance money somewhere else. It was very upsetting because I had found a lump, and ended up having to wait a few weeks to get into another office. Turned out to be nothing, but still very upsetting.
As far as waiting for friends and family, I will wait, because I know that it is hard sometimes to get out the door, having 3 kids myself (of course, I'm seldom if ever late because I know that getting out the door with 3 kids is a challenge. We're almost always early for our gatherings!) plus there is traffic to consider, etc. I try not to get upset about it. Gotta love our loved ones, even with their faults!

I hate waiting. :flames: I quit playing darts because we never started on time. NEVER. Softball has been the same way this season. We're starting at least an hour behind. But you have to show up and wait, otherwise your team may have to forfeit.

mostly it depends on the mood that im in...
:D = ill wait however long unless i have other stuff to do.
:x = youve got a limited amount of time, so youd better not be late or the c**p will be hitting the fan...
one time when i was sick enough to be almost dying, i waited at the drs office for over 2 hrs----for a strep test. after the first hr, i found a spot in the floor to lay in. after 2 1/2 hrs when my bf came back to get me, i was still in the floor. at the 3 hr mark (mind you i had showed up 20 min early to begin with for paperwork) i went up to the desk and demanded my insurance card back. i told her i was tired of waiting, i was going to the ER. heres what she said "well youre just going to have to wait there too" im pretty sure this is the exact look i gave her
anyway, i began to yell and cough some more all over her and just as the bf came to rescue the nurse, she said hold on, ill see what i can do.
5 min later another nurse came and got me.
that was the first and last time i ever saw that f--ker.
