Hello, I have high blood pressure issues. Because of that, I have had one heart attack. I am taking therapy with beta blockers with some other medications and I am interested how long will it take for a heart to adjust to beta blockers? I mean, when will I feel the improvement?
Frequency of heart function is decreased because of the beta blockers within 12 hours after the infarct. It also prevents the possibility of another infarct or re-infarct. So, all in all it is a good medication that will help you. I just don’t know if you will get it for some long term use. In that case, you will most probably have to deal with some side effects.
