which "other Symptoms" are you talking about??
After smoking ganja for about 20 years from a pipe (usually) I quit smoking 5 months ago and I still cough up darkish phlegm. Also I have a wheezing that goes away after I make my self cough more kind of blowing air out to clear my passages to make phlegm come out.
should I be worried??
I thought I was never going to quit smoking but esomehow after my daughter was born I thought it was time for me to make some changes and I am glad I quit. I don't know if I will ever go back. I love smoking but I am NOT dependent anymore and I like it. I also enjoy having a clear mind (which took a while to come back around). as much as I miss smoking, I am happy with the changes I made.
I hope I didn't permanently damage my lungs...
Please write your opinion about my symptoms.
Thanks in advance

Agreed. anyone who says it’s a childish habit was obviously not using it for any sort of medical reason. Your lungs are fine, i’d be more focused on checking out your addictive personality buddy.

I grew tired of people who never experienced chronic pain. It is horrible experience and you cannot imagine how is to deal with that every fricking day!
I tried quitting several times, but every time my pain is back. Never experienced too severe side effects, but had an occasional phlegm coming out. It never bothered me too much, so I haven't paid too much attention to that black phlegm.

It's been 3 months since I stopped smoking pot.I never coughed until I quit and am still coughing going into my 4th month.I recently went on vacation on a airline .The day after I got home I was coughing real bad and had a sore throat for 2 days .The continues coughing got me worried after 16 days after returning home and I went the ER.I had a chest gray. The doctor told me I had bronchitis and put me on a anti boitic for 6 days. I am done with the anti boitic. My coughing isn't as bad but I still am coughing. I haven't had a cold or sinus problems in yearsss.I can't see getting bronchitis from a plane ride .I feel this is all from quiting pot. Today is the 1st day since I stoped the anti biotic and the start of the 4th month since I quit pot.I dont know how long this will go on .I haven't heard of anyone still coughing so long after quiting or if it could cause bronchitis.

I used cannabis for the first time when I was 25. Since then I have used it nearly every year, finishing college, starting a business, and traveling around America. In 2017 when I left America, I no longer had access. Cannabis helps me with anxiety and depression as well as inflammation. When I am regularly using cannabis, I can go run for 9 miles. When I'm not, I'm lucky to run 2. I do not have access to cannabis at the moment and I am fine. However, my life is more enjoyable and I am just as productive, if not more so, when using cannabis. My psychiatrist at the Veterans Administration in California also approved of my cannabis use, shutting down the social worker who tried to accuse me of wrongdoing, and whom I no longer see since I have not been back in over 4 years. Anyone saying you personally have found benefits of cannabis is just a sign of dependence and abuse is ignoring the fact that there are cannabinoid receptors in your brain. It's also like saying "I drink coffee or tea but the caffeine and anti-oxidants aren't real, I just imagine them affecting me." Love and accept yourself and enjoy all of God's wonderful, natural plants in moderation and you will have no issue.

Agreed smoking weed is a childish habit and the belief that it helps with depression and anxiety is false. It’s like any other substances cause and effect cycle.

Over half of those who claim it helps with certain things are simply stuck in never ending cycle of withdrawal. When you smoke you are only stopping the symptoms of withdrawals that are caused from your cannibis use. It’s causes these terrible symptoms and gives you the false truth of relieving them but it only resets your withdrawal timer to do it all again when you wake up the next morning when the symptoms are back full force

Personally I’m on day 12 feel like hell but I’ve been through this all before, I am close to the symptoms slowly disappearing

good luck out there and don’t let weed trick you into living a life of being stoned 24/7

I quit smoking marijuana about a week ago, and I am still coughing like crazy. Why? Does it eventually stop? I have tried cough drops, cough syrup, throat spray, and everything else to no avail. What helps????

Seriously also gives me anxiety and depression. I smoked herb for about 7 years on and off. Pretty heavy user. I quit for good 7 months ago and at first I was coughing up the brown and black c**p every second. Really bad. And slowly it got better but it still isn’t gone. Every now and then I still hack it up. I run perfectly fine and feel in decent shape but I can’t seem to get rid of it. I think it’s chronic bronchitis….. not sure though and it really sucks when it happens. It calms me down knowing others have gone through it. Please if anyone out there has more info or if they’ve gone through this let me know! Hopefully it’s gone for good. Never doing it again!!!

Trying to equate using a substance as childish just because you dont believe it helps with something, doesnt mean it is like that.
You might not benefit from some of the effects, but brazenly claiming its childish just because, is childish.

If you reached the point of being stoned 24/7, thats on you. Not on weed.

And i say this because i did it myself : i decided to send myself into oblivion for a year. And i have experienced the vicious cycle.
Before that, however, weed allowed me to quit SSRIs (antidepressants). They turned me into a zombie. They mulled the pain, and stopped me from crying and feeling so bad. But i stopped being me. Using it once every other week, did the same job as the pills, and in the high allowed me to know other parts of me. (and it was fun).
When you become a stoner 24/7, is just another way to get zombified.

I quit 4 weeks ago. I am 58 smoking for many years. The coughing stopped after 2weeks. My lungs are still in the self cleaning mode. I love Mary Jane. But not as a habit my tolerance is really low just the way it should be. I am post menopause so it helps with sleep. I certainly don't want pharma sleeping pills. Everyone is an individual no two people metabolize it the same! Use your intuition it's not for everyone. Look how many people are on antidepressants. And they have proven that they are a placebo effect. Pick your poison I guess
