I haven't had cycled for about 8- 10 years. But I used to cycle on a daily schedule covering a fair distance. Let me tell you I wasn't a professional, but you know. So I'm thinking about starting to cycle again and how many days do you think would it take for me to cycle like I used to? And how much should I cycle for now?

Hello, mattpflock.

Hope you are still around.

The amount of time it takes to become proficient at cycling will vary depending on your current level of fitness, experience, and how much time and effort you are willing to put into learning. Generally, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months or more to become comfortable and proficient on a bike.

It is important to start slowly and gradually build up your cycling mileage. Start with a few short rides (10-15 minutes) and then gradually increase the duration and intensity of your rides over several weeks. Be sure to listen to your body and don’t push yourself too hard. Additionally, it is important to warm up before cycling and cool down afterward.

Happy cycling!
