So April 2013 I lost my son when I was almost 5 1/2 months pregnant. I was obviously very upset and had to have time to deal with it. Well now I feel like I am ready to try again and get pregnant but I haven't been able to. I know that there's a lot of women that have gotten pregnant right after but with me it hasn't happened. I've been taking great care of myself, taking my prenatals still since the doctor said I should, don't use protection when having sex but nothing has happened. I was wondering does anyone have any ideas? Suggestions?

Hi,
I'm sorry for your loss.
It can take up to a year to get pregnant - normally. We don't even begin to consider fertility issues until then. You also have to allow time for your body to recover after the pregnancy.
At this point all I can suggest is that you keep trying. Don't make it become a chore though. Many couples, that thought they'd never get pregnant, finally did once they "gave up trying." It will happen.
Hang in there and good luck.

Have you tried keeping a calendar? Women usually ovulate on around day 14. It's good to have a lot of sex from day 12 through 15.

I personally know a woman that had 3 miscarriages, but didn't give up and they now have 3 boys. I feel your pain, there is still a lot of hope.
