Hi,

I know this is probably silly asking this question...cause I know I should just go to the doctor and have everything checked. Which I plan on doing anyways but wanted to see what other thought first.

I had protected sex with a guy about a month ago....he told me that he had been in contact with the HPV virus many years ago.

I have been to the doctor after that and things have been fine...the other day though i noticed bumps in the creases of the folds in my vagina. I dont know if I am just freaking out and forgetting what it looked like down there or what. The bumps dont hurt at all....and i dont know how i even noticed that they were there...but whatever...does this sound like anything?

If it does end up being HPV and I am treated...does this mean that I may infect others in future? I just find I am not able to get a solid answer based on my particular situation. I have seen sebaceous cysts and it looks like it could be that too...I'm just not really sure at all...

Any help would be nice...I plan to go to the doctor anways

I am in the exact same boat you are in. If you had protected sex the chances of you contracting HPV are slim, however not impossible since a condom can only protect certain areas, still leaving plenty of room for the virus to come in contact with you. The best advice I can give you, which is what I am going to do, is see your OBGYN. Chances are it will be nothing, but it's better to check. I took a pocket mirror and started looking inside and saw all different ridges and bumps, but I am not sure if I am only noticing them because I am paranoid. I guess they say it is better to be safe then sorry, so definitely make an appointment soon! Good Luck.
