I am 14 years of age and i am really embarrased about how skinny i am. I eat how i should, and do my own little workout everyday (Dumbells , crunches, sit ups etc..) but i cannot seem to put weight on or get any stronger than i am, i can easily fit my thumb and index finger round my wrist and around half way up my arm (Before my elbow) Does anyone have any tips on how i can put on weight? Patience.
You WILL build muscle mass and get bigger - in time. Your body needs to be ready first. Testosterone plays a key role in development of muscle and as you get further along in puberty it will happen.
Regular exercise is beneficial. Do not try to lift very heavy loads. You must also use the correct technique when doing exercises to keep from harming yourself. Your growth plates are not locked yet and they can be damaged.
Eat a healthy diet and get plenty of rest too.
Again, be patient. It will happen when your body is ready.
