I bled soooooo much after losing my virginity. I don't think its normal!

Well 2 days ago i lost my virginity. i guess he was really big apparently he's always talking about that. He couldn't get all the way in but he was pretty close. we couldn't finish because we tried to change positions and we realized i was bleeding like buckets. it was running down my legs and all over the bed and the rug and him. i got in the shower and kept bleeding really really hard for about 10 minutes then i got out and after 2 minutes it started running down my legs again. so i got in the shower for about 10 minutes a second time and managed to get it to stop long enough to get a pad on but then within like 5 minutes it bled through and was alll over again. so i got in the shower for about 20 minutes because this time it wouldn't stop. when i finally got out i put on 3 pads and bled through all of them. i almost passed out from loss a blood a couple of times but i couldn't let my parents find out. it was like that for probly another half hour or so. then i got calmed down and it stopped and turned into like a regular period. could it have anything to do with me skipping periods a lot? i was really scared. i sure doubt this can b normal
