I'm the type of girl that is really hard to have an orgasm. When I'm having sex or oral, everything rushes into my head and it kills my mood. Sometimes it won't, and I'll get extremely close, but my boyfriend will either stop going down on me at that point or he will get excited by me and decide that he needs too.
We just had sex about 15 minutes ago, and of course, I couldn't orgasm. So close to it, but he had to before me. So I asked him to go down on me. Instead he just fingered me (really poorly) until the skin was too sore and it became unpleasing.
I asked him why he has given up on trying to make me cum (he stops all the time and then just leaves. Or he will say something in terms of me not cumming which will kill my mood.) He just got defensive and said, "What do you think I was trying to do? I do more work than you."
Pretty much the fight ended with me yelling that I go down on him at any time he asks, not once have I refused and till the point of my jaw locking, and that maybe we shouldn't have sex anymore.
It just pisses me off because before he would always tell me to let him know what I wanted, but when ever I would ask, he would always blow me off (no pun intended.) I know he feels like his not doing his job, but I don't think he understands how this is effecting me mentally and physically. I used to be able to have orgasms with him (it'd take a while,) but now I just can't because of this.

There are more issues going on here than just your long build up to orgasm.
You have some serious relationship issues to deal with.
I'd recommend reading a good book like "Sex for One" by Dr. Betty Dodson and learning more about your own sexuality and response pattern.
Stop depending on your boyfriend to bring you to orgasm. You can take charge yourself. He may be even more impressed if he sees you getting yourself off. But that's for another day...
